It's been a little while since my last post. Since then I have been dating a guy for a few months and was really starting to like him. One of the first things he said to me was how he wasn't ready to settle down and that he has "issues" when it comes to commitment (despite being 30 years old). I then made the mistake that you thought I would have learned in high school...
I continued to spend time with him with hopes that I was "different." You know how that works. We all dated that "bad boy" in high school that we thought we could turn into the "good boy." Yeah, that NEVER happens.
I could have saved this heartbreak if I had done one thing when we started hanging out... LISTENED. Sometimes the truth isn't what you want to hear but if I have learned one thing (that I should have already learned from that bad boy in high school) is that you can never change a man. Once you start to think that you can, you have already lost.
