I’ve read “Singlethought” (”Odnodum”) by Nikolai Leskov. It was quite good, but it isn’t the main thing. People called the main charecter (I don’t mean his name, I mean his description) as “a kind of - some - such” ("такой-некий-этакой"). It was the best definition I’ve ever read/heard!
