thinking of sinner v1's seasonal ids/egos (I'm not sure if I should come up with an original name or just make it. Like. one of the act names. or mankind is dead/blood is fuel/hell is full. or heaven pierce her. heaven piercer...) and I've got. Like. a handful. I think these aren't very strong but I'll go ahead anyways

Power (Greater Angel) Don Quixote

Powers are angels that study under the Judge of Hell, Gabriel, and they pick up a Lot of speech mannerisms from him as well as being extremely and earnestly loyal to him and the way he does things. however, their light weapon adeptness is less than Gabriel's and they have to call out the name of the weapons to summon it ("greatsword!") which is definitely DQCore... I was going to maybe give this to Sinclair, but since the whole thing about Gabriel is arbitrarily judging what is right and wrong based on his duties prior to The Blue Thing, and those beliefs influencing the Powers. uh. Greater Angel Don Quixote.

Ferryman (technically they call this specific one Charon but. Charon (grey)) Ishmael

Alternatively I give her the Leviathan (long sea stone snake thing) EGO... the Ferryman was saved by Gabriel (pre-revelation, big ego) after their ship wrecked and they've been sort of obsessed over him since. also, protected by an Idol when first met so. Ishmael Church Thing covered. shipwrecking covered. considering that I think Ahab talks about saving her crew and Gabriel is all about saving you can think of that as the Ahab covered. etc.

Mannequin Ryōshū

Mannequins first appear in Violence, aka Forever War and Violence = Art layer. Mannequin innards are the innards of dead sinners who reenact the punishment they've received... are we breaking the cycle of abuse today etc etc. also, the terminal data states that the first sinners to become Mannequins had fallen into a deep sleep before they were turned into them which. The Safe. The DHS. it's either that or Minotaur EGO (a living cumulation of its creator's past mistakes with one desire: to see the sky again . probably a mix of indication towards SY and Mr. Nothing because... freedom... fetters... blindly attempting to escape)

I could also do Deathcatcher EGO (attempts to do what Idols do (chooses one enemy and makes it immortal until the Idol is broken) but since it was never shown love (Deathcatchers are just Hell's Idols), it has no love to give and can only revive enemies into weaker blood puppets of themselves which is VERY Callisto) Ryōshū, i suppose.

Gutterman Gregor

Guttermans are implied to be war machines from Germany, the predecessor to the Guttertanks made specifically to counter Guttermen (Gregor's bioprosthetic being referred to as an older model) also, the one poem about the Gutterman having to kill the very human that nourished it (first direct indication of machines with emotions besides. Well. Mirage and the Mindflayers. goes with the whole dehumanization thing, and also the Canto IX RK thing) (also possibly the sister that Gregor mentioned?? Grete in the story = human in the coffin feeding the Gutterman, still trying to treat the other like a human but eventually caving to either death or. Grete Things)

considering Terminal Hong Lu?

Terminals are machines that don't fight on their own. there is at least one per level, and they're all sentient + in a network . they share videos of machines, like V1, killing shit. the more stylish, the more points they give V1 to buy more weapons... it's very Xianren. I suppose Ryōshū could also Maybe get a Terminal thing but a stationary/non-acting technical ally that does nothing but watch the gore and be expected to share it is. Yknow.

Geryon Hong Lu/Sinclair (EGO specifically)

It's a flying dragon with shared consciousnesses (an attempt at creating a being controlled by multiple consciousnesses, unfit body for fighting but is theorized to fight so well despite that because it desires to free sinners of their suffering. multiple consciousnesses = ACS (Clair, S(F))/XR (HL)) and. Despite the fact that its fight looks Really Unfun i think it's cool

YESS!!! I was thinking Armarouge or a shiny Ceruledge for Ryou but I kind of blank out on Gen 8 and 9 Pokemon sometimes . EXTREMELY TRUE THOUGH.

additionally as a Hong Lu for the road since I just thought of it, I feel like he'd have at least one Hisuian Pokemon on account of being Rich Kid Central (didn't really Ask for it, sort of just received it and was told to explore the world for. The Entertainment) or perhaps a shiny. whether it actually likes its trainer is a whole separate matter but I like the idea of Hong Lu having a Pokemon that just keeps clawing at them for the first six months of being eir Pokemon

though the Funeral isn't my favorite LobCorp Abnormality (i haven't quite figured out what it is yet, but there are a few candidates), it is up there. also, i just enjoy it when characters are gloomier than normal and have guns... the amount of FotDBxYiSang fanart i've seen somewhat contributes to this... but it's also because i like her design and i think her dynamic with ReaPShū is fun.

FULL-STOP OFFICE YAYYYY!!!!!! the Assist Attack (?) is so smooth, and the amount of times i've relistened to those S3 lines is insane. speaking of lines, you know how once Heathcliff retreats and Hong Lu gains combo S2s and S3s? one of the lines for the S2 translates to something like "Take care of them." and it's delivered perfectly. plus, i some people think this ID doesn't fit Hong Lu, but i'd argue that IDs based off of an existing character don't always need to fit the personality completely, and i think this ID did highlight certain points in Hong Lu (reliance on family even after some severing and his perspective on death, which sort of leads into the whole. gestures to Hong Lu. thing) which. if an ID doesn't completely fit, yet shows a new aspect of a Sinner shared with the source of the ID that would come out if they were in that position, then i will gladly take it. this is phrased weirdly but aghhhhhhh i aaaaaaahhhhhh
