An onlooker might think her wrists have snapped and dislocated themselves in some terrible fashion, but the way she smiled told no story of pain. No, it was the exact opposite. "The Devil has invaded my sanctuary for I am weak of will, and tempted by his ways."

The "nun" drew back across the dark chapel room, arms drawn close as she gasped. "I am a bride of Christ, Lucifer. Your work has no place here in this hallowed sanctuary!"

She evaporated into a sparkling magenta mist and swept across the floor, spinning and re-materializing just behind Adam, floating behind his head.

We made a few sea turtles blush. ~" Build as many biblical stories around that patch of water all you like - make it a savior, make it a shield. Deep in its core, it knew exactly whose affinity it favored.
