Sorry about our absence lately. We are getting ready to move house so it's been a little busy. I try to keep pictures in the queue when I can.
Hope everyone is doing well. More updates and pictures soon. : )

Well it looks like we are moving house a month or two early. For the last year we were planning on moving out around June/July this year as my partner was moving from Tafe to Uni but due to other reasons we'll be moving sooner.
Things may be slow and and replies to messages might take a little longer than usual but I'll try to keep up with everything and try to keep pictures in the queue. : )
On another note, Pavi's vet appointment went super well and he is in perfect health. We were praised as bird owners. Yay! : D
Sox is about ready to have another egg. Poor thing is sitting really uncomfortably on her perches. Should be in the next few days sometime.
During playtime yesterday, I let Taffi and Akira out for half of the day together with no incidents. When it was time to let Sox and Pavi out I put Taffi back in her cage. It seemed to work quite well.
Taffi wouldn't leave her cage for a long time when I opened it. I think she was still very nervous, even though Sox and Pavi were still locked up. I hope she regains her confidence soon. Poor thing.
Had a scare with Taffi yesterday. : (
The birds were all out playing like always and Taffi was hanging with me on the couch and Sox came down and attacked her. Taffi flew into the air and circled the room over and over before landing on a decoration along the top of the wall, like she does sometimes. Pavi and Sox flew up there and started attacking her. I'm really short and had no way of reaching to try to help her. I was jumping to try to reach and yelling for them to stop because I was scared they might really hurt her. So she flew into the air again, circled over and over and landed again on the other side of the room along the same wall decor. They flew after her, Pavi swooped her and landed on top of her before he and Sox landed on the decor and continued to attack her. I was still trying to yell and stop them from hurting her. She was screeching and trying to fight them off but they wouldn't back down. I didn't know what to do, so I grabbed Taffi's ladder and used it to scare them away from her and to let her step up onto so I could put her in her safe place, her cage.
Poor Taffi was skinny, puffing and had her tongue hanging out of her beak. I ran to the other room to get my partner. I came back to find them trying to get into her cage to go at her again so I took them away from her. We took turns giving her pets and talking to her trying to slow her heartbeat and breathing. She started throwing up again and again. Then Sox and Pavi turned to attacking Akira so we gave them a timeout and put them back in their cage.
It took another 20 minutes or so before Taffi would drink some water and stop breathing heavily and throwing up. I was ready to have to make an emergency visit to the vet just in case the stress kills her.
Taffi is now completely fine and no one was hurt. I'm annoyed that their harmless territorial fights for pecking order have now turned to really trying to hurt the other birds. I may have to start letting them out at different times so no one gets hurt. This has only started very recently, before that, it was mostly innocent playing and staying in their own areas.
Looks like I have a pair of bird bullies on my hands. Has anyone else had aggressive birds like this before? What did you do to help or stop these sorts of fights?
So, I have the tv on the music channels as there are a lot of Australia day BBQ music countdowns on. I was dancing around the room and Taffi decided she wanted to dance with me and joined in, dancing towards me and then tripped on her ladder, so she acted like nothing happened and still kept dancing around with me.
Silly bird. XD
These are very special photos to us here, at SiNs-Fids. This was the first and only Christmas we had with our Toxi. Never before seen by anyone but us.
We are sharing them with you because we love our followers and want to wish you all some Happy Holidays!
