Conservation: Seepage Siren

Conservation Tuesday! The Seepage Siren(Siren sphagnicola) was officially described in 2023 and has not yet been evaluated by the IUCN, and currently has no official label concerning its conservation status. However, it seems safe to assume that it, like all of its closest relatives, is Least Concern. These little guys are fairly common in their range, but still have been affected by polluted waters. They unfortunately have a much smaller range than they used to and may potentially be locally extinct in some areas. They are native to the Gulf Coastal Plains.
