Chris, I need a James Mason expert opinion. What are your top Mason film recommendations?

So far I've seen him in North by Northwest, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Evil Under the Sun, and the two with my boy Charles Grodin Heaven Can Wait and 11 Harrowhouse

I just watched 11 Harrowhouse for the fourth time and need to see more James Mason, but his filmography is insane and I have no idea where to start

Ehehehehe… as tumblrs resident James mason expert I personally would recommend: bigger than life, the reckless moment, caught, a star is born, and Pandora and the Flying Dutchman. The deadly affair and murder by decree I also LOVE but the general reception for those is more varied so probably not the best starting point

Ok am I imagining this or in the early seasons did the watchers have a retreat and not invite Giles. I'll be honest, I've had a few, but I feel like that happened cause I remember being really like wtf at the fact that he was the watcher for literally the one slayer alive at the time and yet he wasn't invited to their parties, what's that about? This doesn't have anything to do with anything you've posted, I was just thinking about it.

You’re not imagining it, it happened and it’s really really weird. You’d think Giles would be the most important person in the Watcher’s council, right? ‘Cause he’s watcher to the actual slayer? But it never once seems like they care much at all. You have to wonder what they do all day anyway. This is probably headcanon territory, but I imagine they’re busy finding potentials and training them. Like Kendra for instance; she knew everything about slaying and lived with her watcher long before she was called. And nobody knows who’s gonna be called, so there must be dozens of Kendras all around the world. Then there’s probably another branch of watchers who’s job is research. Things like translating and interpreting ancient texts. And/or obtaining them in the first place. Or like, magic research. Or uuhhhm studying other dimensions. And demons if course… don’t wanna think about how those studies work too much… Okay and then there’s gotta be teachers for the Watcher’s Academy. And a whole administrative apparatus, the head of which is Quentin fucking Travers. And… I’m veering way off the point, aren’t I? My point is, they probably have so much everyday stuff going on that the actual Slayer/Watcher team somewhere across the ocean doesn’t really feature very prominently in their thoughts. And also, who knows how Giles was chosen for the job? It doesn’t necessarily have to have anything to do with popularity :/ So… yeah. These are my (pretty messy) thoughts.

1. Despite everything, I have awesome friends (online and offline!) who love and support me! I guess I'm an OK person after all!

3. I make funny facial expressions which helps a lot when I'm telling jokes.

4. I'm much more open minded now (so much more that I don't really relate to my family anymore).

5. I can draw stuff that I actually like sometimes.

I waited in line to get Shaun Micallef’s autograph on his new book a couple years ago. I got their early and was fourth in line and psyching myself up with exactly what i was going to say and when it came time he asked me a question and i started rambling incoherently at him and then somehow managed to ask for a picture but i was so embarrassed my face is super stressed out that i never show it off or even look at it myself    

I’m sorry that you had a similar experience, but I admit it makes me feel a little bit better to know that I’m not alone, so thank you for telling me <3
