Originally, new puppets for Sesame Street co-productions were constructed by Muppet builder Kermit Love. However, in 2009 Jim Henson's Creature Shop took over puppet creation.

While most puppets for co-productions are made by the Creature Shop, the puppets in Sisimpur, the Bangladesh co-production, were created by their own production team. This is because the craft of making traditional puppets is an important thousand year old tradition and an important part of their culture.
