Yay shenanigans! How about warrior nun, lilith, and the first thing she did solely for herself after *gestures vaguely* eveything?
lol "gestures vaguely" is such a mood forreal - another quick one, thank you so much for sending this one in!
The first thing Lilith decides to do is to go fucking shopping.
And shop she does: she buys several wardrobes worth of clothes, brand new furniture for her recently acquired apartment, state of the art appliances and cookware and decor for her kitchen and living room.
It isn't until she's closing out her final purchase for her entertainment system that she realizes she's also been buying things with her sisters in mind.
"Is there something else we can assist with?" the sales person stutters but Lilith just waves them away, frown still firmly in place.
The frown stays through the wave of deliveries and movers, through ordering food and her sisters' presence alike. Lilith stomps around restlessly until they arrive, giving the requisite 'oohs' and 'ahh's as they go through the newly furnished space. Ava, of course, beelines for the food laden dining table.
"This is for me," Lilith says, clutching a bottle of wine before Ava can even reach for it.
Ava pouts momentarily, but glances at the rest of the spread, too blinded by hunger to notice that it's everyone's favorites. "And everything else?" Ava asks, grin slowly widening.
Lilith shrugs, a queen to her subjects, a universal 'do what you will.' She takes her wine and one of her sparkling new glasses to the head of a table suspiciously perfect for four. Sips and joins in on the conversation when she feels like it, ignores them when the urge arises (mostly whenever Ava asks a question that starts with "What if").
"Thank you for inviting us," Beatrice says quietly as Camila and Ava try to make a catapult out of the charcuterie. "You didn't have to do this."
Lilith rolls her eyes. "Of course I did," she says gruffly, "I wouldn't hear the end of it if I didn't have a proper housewarming." Turns away so she doesn't have to see Beatrice's knowing reaction, so she can keep herself from having to explain how she hadn't even been thinking about things as she was shopping, how naturally they had come to mind: the accessories Camila had complimented her on last week, the knife set Beatrice had lectured about for nearly an hour, movies and video games Ava had mentioned wanting to get.
She couldn't separate herself from them if she tried. Not when they'd saved her, when they'd given her back her soul; a home that she could call her own.
'What's yours is mine,' Lilith thinks, letting the barest hint of a smile grace her lips as she watches her family christen her home.
Only for the frown to reappear when she hears the sound of something spilling onto the carpet. 'Except the cleaning bill,' she thinks, glaring darkly at them, 'that's all yours.'
