Great news! We just passed 4000 gender and suffix pages. That’s a really big number on its own, but its also more than any other neolable archive, active or not, that we’re aware of by a couple hundred! Go check them out!

We did it!
So, after months of hard work in archiving and coding, we finally have the site finished enough to publicize it!
It’s still super incomplete (our page count pales in comparison to some other Wikis and there are a lot of broken links), but we do have the only article on a Wiki about TGCE, the biggest catalogue of Colorgenders + Drogegenders + Synesthesia related genders, a page rating system (there’s a little ‘rate’ button at the bottom of the page, the biggest catalogue of terms from TGCE, Page-2-IDs, MOGAI-Monarchs, and Neopronouns, and the biggest catalogue of terms from the Dianetics System, the Warrior Cats Gender System, and the Genderstajon System!
Hopefully we’ll find a good way to balance intense work on the site and running this archive, but there’ll probably still be times where one is slacking a little..
Thanks for reading and enjoy!

Joining the Trend: Why Genderpedia is Moving to Miraheze
Alright, that title was a little dramatic, but it's eye-catching and we're all fans of video essays, so this is to be expected.
Anyway, this is our announcement that we'll be directing our attention to moving Genderpedia over to the Miraheze platform. While this does fall in line with both the LGBTA and Ezgender Wikis moving to the platform, this isn't fully what sparked the idea, nor us joining a trend.
We've been tossing around the idea of moving Genderpedia to a different platform for months now. We only put it on Wikidot in the first place since it was the only free wiki hosting platform that we were aware of. This came from a few reasons, those being:
Better CSS/appearance: While Wikidot is a fine enough platform and good if you want to use a super basic format and not worry about CSS at all, you can't customize the CSS very well, especially without a pro account. If you can't or don't want to pay for an account, you're stuck with one of their basic formats, none of which truly fit our vision for the wiki.
Better SEO: While our Wikidot site comes up relatively high on a number of Xenogender related searches, we've noticed that Miraheze wikis tend to come up higher in search results than Wikidot sites that don't have original domains, which we can't afford. Switching platforms is a good way to get higher in search results.
Community participation: We know that we've always had our site being run by just us, however, we've been wanting to change that. We'll be tentatively opening up the wiki to allow others to create and edit pages. If this ends up being too much for us to handle, we may shut that down again, but it will be an option, at least for a period of time.
There are probably a few more reasons that we came up with the first few times we threw this around, but this covers the main ones and hopefully gives you all a good idea of why we're doing this and shows that it isn't just a for-fun decision.
We don't know how long it'll take to move everything from one place to the other, get the main page put together, etc. It should hopefully be done by June or July, but none of us have the experience with Miraheze to truly say.
When we get everything sorted out, we'll come back to post the link and spell out the rules (they'll be on the wiki, but it never hurts to have things in two places) to open editing up to everyone!
With all that out of the way, thank you for reading and we'll see you on the new site!
Yet Another Update
We know... Sorry /j
We’re seriously starting to consider (meaning almost definitely about to) doing another overhaul. We know that we said we wouldn’t do anymore of them, but it seems like the hyperfixation (or at least strong interest) in Xenogenders is kicking up again and definitely giving us more motivation to do another one.
That and the fact that we’ve noticed some things that could use changing, primarily in the categorization and “see also” parts of terms and going through terms to find similarities and watching category numbers grow is the kinds of things that some of us really love about running a site like this. Everything else will also be updated as needed, but that’s definitely priority at the moment.
We were starting to feel the overhaul itch near the beginning of our adding analytics tags to pages, but we decided not to so we wouldn’t have to juggle overhauling and keeping the copy-paste for the tag. Also the fact that having to do two things that massive would almost definitely be overwhelming.
This definitely won’t be as committed of an overhaul as we’ve done in the past - we’ll be stopping to add new pages more often and such - but it will happen to all of our gender, suffix, and gender nature pages + any other terms we feel need updating.
No idea when this’ll get done, since we have a lot more pages than we did during the last complete overhaul and we won’t be as nose down as we were, but hopefully (for us) it won’t take ridiculously long, but who knows.
Thanks for reading! ~Alll of us, TBH
Minor Update
Just a heads up, there’s a good chance there won’t be any site updates over the next few days. We’ve actually for real started adding the new analytics tag to all of our pages and, given how many pages we have, it’s probably going to take a while.
We’ve been doing pretty constant work since Wednesday evening and we’ve only done 360. Which, on the one hand, is around 10% of our pages. On the other, it’s only 10%.
Hopefully we can get this done in less than two weeks of pretty fast consistent work (since it is just copy pasting - just a lot of it), but who knows. ~Admin Rain
