“You have to let him go, it’s not healthy,” Zayn says softly, beer bottle in hand, his eyes filled with sadness as he looks at you. Saying the same thing he always does when you’re both intoxicated.

You knew it was stupid, but no matter what you tried. Every kiss, every hookup, every drunken night, he always lingered in your thoughts. You couldn’t shake him, no matter how hard you fought to move on. He was always there, tucked deep inside your mind, refusing to let go.

Sitting there, slumped in the booth, you leaned your head on Zayn's shoulder as you watched him engaged with his girlfriend. He looked genuinely happy, effortlessly kissing her in public and whispering sweet nothings in her ear. The things you both never got to do.

Though you knew it was wrong you couldn’t help but to be filled with a rage. The unfairness of the entire situation ate at you. You hated him for how easily he moved on from you, the way he acted as if your relationship never meant anything. It was maddening to see him treating you like nothing more than a friend, as if that’s all you ever were.

you couldn’t help to wonder if it was ever real to him. Is that why he promised you? Because it was never real. Did he only love you because you were the only available person around? Why? Just why wasn’t he as hurt as you? You’re frustrated with yourself for still loving him, knowing that he doesn’t want anything to do with you.

“I think I'm gonna head out,” Ashton spoke up, breaking your trance, red cup in hand, his smile lazy and relaxed. “I'll come with.” You responded with a soft tone.

Zayn kindly offered to leave if you wanted, you shook your head, assuring him, "I'll be fine. I'm just feeling tired." Zayn looked at you, concern etched on his face, asking with his eyes if you were sure you'd be alright. With a soft nod, you reassured him again, “Have fun, I’ll see you guys later.” Ashton waited patiently, holding out his hand to you, a silent offer to lead you out of the stuffy bar.

As you leave the noisy environment of the bar, the music fading into the distance, you hear Ashton speak softly, “Still in love with Styles, huh?” You glare at him, your irritation clear. Frustrated, you retort, “You're still in love with your ex too.” Ashton chuckles softly, his lips gently touching the side of your head as you both continue walking.

“That's why we work so well together, no?” he says playfully. “Both in love with people we can't have.” You shake your head affectionately, a smirk playing on your lips. “You're such an idiot,” you say giggling. You both reach his car, and as he opens the car door for you, you slide into the passenger seat.

This casual, uncomplicated situation with Ashton was precisely what both of you needed - a simple, lighthearted distraction. It actually started as a PR stunt. Turns out he’s the only PR stunt that didn’t make you want to tear your hair out.

“I’ll miss you when we go back an tour.” Ashton says, you smile. “Who else will understand me the way you do.” He says softly placing his hand on your thigh. “It’s like phones exist.” You say cheekily, causing Aston to let out a loud laugh.

“You know a simple “Hey ashton I’d miss you so much to.” wouldn’t hurt.” You giggle “Yea yea I’ll miss you too.”

Today was not your day, it’s like something in the air was bringing you down. First it was management yelling at you for god knows what. Then Louis spilled your coffee, Ashton told you he’s wasn’t going to make it tonight and then to top it off, you walked into Harry half naked in the dressing room.

You weren’t even supposed to be in there Niall had sent you to grab his phone saying he had to “desperately show you something.” So it’s all his fault. You were doing so well forgetting you and harry had anything. This brought all the memories back.

The times he would kiss you over and over again before you guys had to go out. Or when you guys would simply just lay together on the small couch, telling you he’d never let you go. When it was just you and harry.

“Helloo? You there?” Liam says, waving his hand in front of your face. You playfully smack his hand out of the way. “Mate we’ve been talking to you for like 20 minutes.” Louis says laughing.

“She’s sad because her boyfriend Ashtonnnn isn’t coming tonight.” Niall adds, you glare at him. “He isn’t my boyfriend.” You say throwing a pillow at him. Zayn raises his eyebrows, “You sure? because I remember when I walked into you guys h-” You toss the other pillow at him causing him to shut up. He puts his hands up in surrender him and Niall laughing like it’s the funniest thing.

Harry clears his throat. “Nobody wants to hear about her sex life.” He says annoyed. Suddenly it’s like everything shifts. He’s never ever engaged into your conversations since the week of the breakup or if it’s about something professional.

Niall laughs. “Mate we’ve haven’t even said any details.” You groan, they walk into you once while making out and they never let it go. “God like you guys even have any details to say.”

Zayn shrugs and laughs, You and harry make eye contact for a quick second. “Kendall’s having a party invited you all.” He says, Ahh there it is. You were just waiting for him to bring her up.

“Alright we’re all going.” Louis says, You look at him confused We? Yea no, you’re not going. “It’ll be fun, plus we have the day off so why not.” He adds. Harry looks at you. “Don’t have to come if you don’t wanna.” Your stomach drops, God you were sick. “I know party’s aren’t your thing, Don’t feel like you have to go.” He tells you softly.

“I’ll uh see.” Is all you can get out, you were so shocked your brain wasn’t processing, what is in the air today? “She’s going!” A voice says, but you knew that voice from anywhere. Ashton

He immediately lifts you of the couch bringing you into a tight hug. Kissing the side of your head “Hi gorgeous” He whispers into your ear. You say nothing and kiss his cheek. From peripheral view you watch harry leave.

“I just, I don’t know Ash” You say, once again contemplating if you wanted to go. You were fully ready and dressed but you just couldn’t stomach going. “Gorgeous, you got to go out. You can’t stay to yourself forever.” He says softly, you bite your lip

You just don’t know if you can stomach harry kissing her again for the 8th time this week. “Come on babe, if anything happens i’ll be there.” You finally give in.

You regreted it all. You should've just stayed home, this whole thing was just way to much for you to handle. The whole room was spinning. All these emotions rising from out of your gut.

Can we leave please? You text ashton.

Great. Still no response. To much people, loud music. It was just too much. You walk outside to the balcony and you see him. No kendall, no friends, just him. Just as you were about to walk back inside he clears his throat, causing you to look back at him.

“Hey angel” he says lowly. Your stomach drops. “Don’t call me that Harry” you say flatly, the energy shifts. “Why’d you come? You hate parties.” You roll your eyes,“Hated” You say correcting him. Even though he was completely right. He chuckles

“Hm my apologies then, though it seems you aren’t having much fun.” You take a deep breath. “well kendall’s parties aren’t usually fun.” You say. Harry laughs sliding a hand down his face.

“I’m glad you came, you stopped going out. So it’s nice to see you enjoying yourself. Even if you’re faking it.” Your breath hitched, you didn’t think he’d noticed.

“Ashton, Does he- Are you guys.” He says stumbling on his words. “Why him?” You look at him shocked. “What?” He scoffs. “Why Irwin? I mean anyone but you choose him.” He asks, you look at him like he lost his fucking mind.

“Are you serious right now?” you ask him. He takes a sip of his drink, his head tilting back, letting out a deep breath. “I just don’t understand why him.” You scoff. “In case you forgot we’re over remember? It ended between us. So who I hang around with isn’t any of your business.” You angrily say.

He looks at you like you ripped his soul out. “Don’t say we ended angel, you know i had to-” He stops talking. “It never ended, every party, every concert, every moment im alone your on my mind always. Don’t say-”

You felt every single emotion in that moment. Why now? Why this moment. Why did he always have to come back to you when you wanted nothing to do with him. “I had to watch you with her, love her, be with her, do the things we used to pray to be able to do. So yea Harry for me it ended.” You say tears falling down your face .

“You got everything, I got fucked over.” Harry shakes his head no. Stepping close to you. His chest rising up in frustration letting out a shakey breath. “No. You don’t get to.” He stops sliding his hand down his face. “You don’t get to do that baby.”

It went silent, baby. It was almost like it was a forbidden word that was said. Harry curses under his breath. “I ended it because I seen how it was draining you. Fuck it was to much. Kissing you one second then having to put up a front for the cameras with her.” His voice starts to crack.

“I had to. I had to do it for us.” You scoff. “Don’t fucking play that.” You felt yourself get more angrier. Wasn’t this what you wanted? To know why he did it? Why weren’t you satisfied.

“You promised me H. You promised.” You say softly feeling your eyes blur. “I know, I know I did i’m so sorry”

You felt yourself let out a loud sob, you weren’t sure why you were crying but it was to much. Maybe it was the alcohol, maybe it was the feelings that you never let yourself truly feel.

“Us, the promises was it ever real to you?” You sob out, Harry’s face falls. “Sweetheart don’t ask dumb questions of-“ You stop him. “Was it real.” He tries to take a step closer to you but you step back immediately.

“Of course it was real, Why- Why wouldn’t it be.” He says obvious hurt in his voice. “You treated me like I was nothing, like I never ment anything to you.” You finally admit.

“I had to, I fucking had to.” He takes a deep breath. “I had to baby. It’s just what had to be done. I thought it was better this way.” You scoff “Well styles, to you maybe it was. We didn’t promise that to eachother so maybe it wasn’t as real to you as it was to me.”

“Angel, everyday it feels like my heart gets ripped out of my fucking chest knowing I can’t be with you.” He says softly, both of you a crying mess.

“Everyday I feel guilty, everyday I miss you, I have loved you since the day I broke up and fuck baby I don’t think I’ll ever stop.”

He walks closer to you, both face to face inches apart. “I will never stop loving you.” You felt like you were getting stabbed over and over again.

“I hope one day harry. I will stop loving you. Because though you say this, your actions are simply different. I spent this past year watching you kiss and love someone else while you simply pretend I don’t exist, and i have to live with that.” You sob out. “Baby Pl-”

You didn’t give him a chance to finish, you’re back inside the weed and alcohol smelled room, You felt like you couldn’t breathe, you felt your heart physically hurt. You didn’t know what to do, Of course you still love him, you never stopped and that’s why you hated him so much.

It was better this way, for you, for him, for the band. To pretend it never happened just like he did.

And might I say his fans, Lovers ( Or Horn Dogs, your pick ) are just as happy with his approaches and entertaining content. But truly, Niall is renowned for his amazing music as well as his voice. The industry sees him as a genuine and laidback artist who puts his family and fans before everything and goes to an extreme extent to put a smile on their faces.

Niall Horan is one of the members of One Direction who has really healed and found himself after all the bricks thrown at him. Although he had been treated wrongly by the world, he has put those thoughts aside and still treats everyone with love and utter kindness.

16-year-old Harry only signed up for X-Factor in 2010 to get some honest feedback and reviews about his voice and perhaps, just because a friend was trying it out as well.

But yet, Harry doesn't seem as close with his dear fans. Harries doesn't mind though, not at all, it makes sense as the media directed at him isn't the kindest. His unconditional love and support and ass-shaking music are enough to be called fanservice and keep them going. All his fans ever want is for him to be comfortable, open and proud of himself.

With an out-of-the-world discography, a couple hundred music awards and a core fan base just as strong as her, the name Aviana is laced on the tongue of every single person around the world. With her melancholic, psychological and music you can relate on a level that's kind of concerning, Aviana is considered the IT girl of the 21st century. Despite being a very in-demand and famous artist, Aviana still makes time to connect with her fans, as much as she can even if it's sharing a small video of her trying to make breakfast for herself. Although Aviana's music is scattered from pop rock to bedroom indie to melancholic ballads, her fans are right behind her, supporting her in her every move with their feathery angel wings, halos and sparkling wands in hand.

Despite being on top of the Billboard charts almost all year, Aviana still has a long way to when it comes to self-discovery and correction. She still needs time to figure out who she really is after being tossed aside by one too many people on multiple occasions. And there's no doubt that her fans will be by her side through every step of that.

Pairing - One Direction x Reader (platonic) [sixth member!fem!reader]

Summary - Headcannons for being put together in a band on X Factor.

Okay you were a nervous, stuttering mess on the stage, as you sang Rihanna's 'Don't Stop The Music'

You could see the slight wince Louis Walsh gave in your direction, as your note wavered. But through some miracle, he saw potential, and you moved through with 3 yeses.

Then came bootcamp. Phew. That an experience you'd never forget. For your performance, you picked 'Survivor' by Destiny's child, and you were quite proud of your performance. But when the time came, your name wasn't called

At the auditions, you had met a blonde haired Irish boy, who you had quickly learned was named Niall, and you two had sort of stuck together.

He hadn't gotten through either and he made his way over to you, eyes red rimmed and watery. The two of you were turning to leave, when one of the management team made their way over and called out some names

"Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Y/N L/N"

Niall had turned to you and grabbed your hand, and the two of you had stumbled to the stage, with a curly haired boy with a beanie on his head, a tall boy who had sung a Justin Timberlake song and had blown the judges away, the boy who hadn't come to the dance session, a boy with a strong Doncaster accent and Niall.

As Simon spoke, the tall boy, Liam, put his arm around you, and so did Niall. You reciprocated and waited with bated breath.

When he said you guys were safe, and in a band, you let out a shocked gasp and felt your knees go weak, and the Doncaster boy, whose name you learned was Louis jumped and hugged you, and soon you were engulfed in a group hug.

From that moment on, it was the best thing that ever happened to you.

The 6 of you sharing a house together was CHAOTIC, but boy it was fun.

Out all of all the boys (except Niall) you became very close to Louis, who began treating you as another one of his sisters. Together, you two caused Liam a world of pain induced fun.

Speaking of whom, Liam absolutely adored you. Even though you could be crazy and fun, you were very shy in real life. Liam thought you were one of the kindest, sweetest, and most talented people he had ever met. He was always looking out for you, defending you when the producers wanted to make you wear skimpy clothes for views yes, x factor does that. Poor LM : (

As for Harry, you were a little younger than him, and he loved that he had someone to talk to about all sort of things, someone who was closer to him in age and maturity.

With Zayn, you had a wild dynamic where the both of you were shy, with bold voices. While he had a more badass personality with a voice that stunned the souls out of people, melodic and harmonious, you looked like one of the sweetest people on the world with the voice of a lion.

As for Niall, you two were probably the closest in the band. He had your back from day one, and ultimately, when it came to it, he was the one you went to for telling your secrets and for the occasional cuddle or hug.

You also trusted all of them with all your heart, having intimate heart to hearts with them, talking to them about anything and everything.

Rehearsals were also fun, and singing Viva La Vida was one of the best experiences of your life. You had an incredible voice, ranging from high to low, with an incredible amount of power in your voice.

The first time you sang Make You Feel My Love by Adele, Louis fell of his chair, while the others watched in awe. It was almost like you didn't even try to hit the high notes, they just came to you effortlessly.

You and Zayn were often given the high notes and you to had a sort of seamlessly perfect balance, the combined melody of both your voices was enough to put angels to shame.

When you guys placed third, you were sad. But you also knew that you weren't going to give up on the band. When you got offered the record deal, you were ecstatic. When What Makes You Beautiful went No.1, you did cry.

Touring was the best part, undoubtedly.

The Where We Are tour was your favourite, and so was filming alongside touring.

Your families like adoring each other, all of their siblings treating you like their own. (Girl talks with Gemma and Lottie and Ruth and Safaa, because YES)

Niall teaching you how to play golf, and Harry tagging along because,"Stop hogging Y/N, she's my best friend too"

Getting a hole in one on your first shot, while wearing heels at the golf course. Niall's jaw dropping while his friend bursts into laughter.

Liam teaching you to beatbox (big mistake) and regretting it when all you did was make weird swishing sounds and spit on him "Sorry Li" 'Ah well, I shouldn't have tried anyway, its hopeless" "Hey!"

Harry constantly reminding you he worked in a bakery, until you asked him to bake a cake for you and he bought a cake mix packet and somehow messed it up? "No thanks, I don't want food poisoning" "I tried!" "And failed, now clean up this mess. Some bakery you worked it"

Louis teaching you how to make the perfect cup of tea, and also how to constantly annoy Liam and Zayn. But also being a shoulder for you to cry on, and a person you could talk to no matter what.

Zayn being the biggest teddy bear for you, completely wrapped around your little finger. He could never say no to you, and quite frankly the others couldn't either. You wanted icecream at some ungodly hour ? He was getting his wallet. You wanted to go shopping in Japan even though management said you couldn't? He was already sneaking away with you.

Them being protective, holy hell.

God bless whoever dated you. They had to sit through 5 extremely threatening conversations, and then of course your parents or guardians as well.

It's safe to say you were single for a while.

Staying awake till 4 in the morning, recording or song writing, or sometimes just chatting.

Defending you from the ridiculous amount of hate you received, just for living your dream

One time, Harry found you crying over some stupid hate tweets, and Liam had to physically restrain him from kicking some ass.

Liam eventually joining Harry to kick some (verbal) ass on twitter.

Niall calling out hate accounts on stage and in interviews.

Zayn deleting your twitter for a few weeks, letting you heal, and protecting you from nasty haters.

Louis yelling and cursing at Paps that got too close, not hesitating to call them losers or idiots, and always holding your hand in tightly packed crowds or at airports.

All of them definitely got a little emotional when you spoke up about how much the hate got to you, and how you struggled with your body image and anxiety.

When aviana first joined North Hampstead High and started going to her classes, Bexley - who was on the same class - was on a week-long leave. When she returned to school, she found the new girl sitting on her usual seat and immediately, an unspoken rift was created. The two despised each other for months because of the incident. But one day, Bexley was moved out of her usual seat as a punishment and sat next to Aviana. And the rest - is history.

Bexley is the person Aviana considers to be her lifeline. In contrast to their rather embarrassing past, the two girls share a friendship that runs deeper than pictures together or birthday wishes at twelve. With their quite opposite personalities, Bexley and Aviana almost perfectly complete each other. Though Bexley is the last person Aviana imagines being best friends with, she will forever thank the stars for bringing the girl to her.

Bexley loves reading. Aviana prefers movies over books. Bexley communicates in spam texts. Aviana leaves her on read most of the time. Aviana plays three sports. Bexley is unable to move a muscle without one complaint. Bexley's favourite ice cream flavour is mint chocolate. Aviana loathes it and calls it toothpaste. Despite all their petty differences, Bexley and Aviana balance each other out like the yin and yang. If it had to be personified, it would most probably be the two of them. Though the two of them can't remember each other's birthdates and go months without talking to each other, they'll still be each other's first choice no matter what.

The first sport Aviana joined at North Hampstead High was badminton. On her very first day of practice, she took her new duffel bag and water bottle and left them on the bleachers instead of the locker room - All without noticing the bag in the exact same design sitting on a row of seats behind hers. Once Aviana finished practices, she grabbed her bag for a change of clothes and instead of the familiar tracksuit she expected to find, she discovered a pair of Hello Kitty pyjama pants and a body spray that had expired in 2004. Too struck with the whole situation of mixing up bags with a stranger, Aviana simply decided to inform the coach, take the bag home, give it a good wash and throw away the body spray because what the hell. When an announcement rings through the school the next day about returning missing bags, Aviana gets up from her seat to make eye contact with a taller boy from the other side of the class, also standing with her bag thrown over his shoulder. The class falls into a quiet laugh and he asks her to join her for lunch and oh, this guy is kind of cool.

Aviana and Yungho initially bonded over being in the same sport, going from senior-junior to captain-vice captain of the NHH badminton team in a matter of years. Aside from that - Sanrio, SHINee and a shared love for Disney shows is what brought them close. Though Youngho and Aviana get to know each other rather early, they only become close friends outside the court later in the year. While Bexley is the closest to her heart, Youngho is the one Aviana spends the most time with. Maybe it's because he has attachment issues or their interests align with each other perfectly - but the two consistently keep up with each other more than the rest.

Aviana and Yungho is always supporting each other's obsessions despite how niche or ridiculous they are. Aviana is the one to be blamed for the hoard of cats that reside in the Kim household while it is partly Yungho's fault that she has to hide 114 plushies in her closet. The two are in sync with each other when it comes to hate and pop culture - unstoppable once they've started talking shit about anything and everything. Though the two speak in internet memes half the time, Aviana and Yungho share a special bond that runs deep in their veins.

Aviana's first introduction is very expected, very traditional and cliche. When Aviana is first enrolled at North Hampstead High, she is sent home advised about how she'd get a student buddy by her side for the first week - giving her tours, guiding her around the school and helping her settle in. When she comes to school on the first day, Aviana is approached by a girl with a big smile and shy eyes peeking from beneath a stack of fliers. "Are you Aviana?" She's asked, fingers twiddling with her lilac hijab. Once they've got it cleared, the girl introduces herself as Farrah, her student buddy. Though Aviana doesn't expect herself to follow the girl around the school not only for the week but for the rest of her time, she can't exactly say she regrets anything.

Farrah is the calmest and sweetest soul Aviana has met, that is the simplest way to put it. Not only with her quiet and naturally kind personality, Farrah is considered to be the mom friend of the group - always keeping track of them and never letting them out of her child. She has a pure instinct to be responsible for the four others that makes her stress like a woman in her 30s, always fussing over them like a single mom and not letting them slip through the cracks of the family bond she'd created.

Aside from being overly protective and compassionate towards a bunch of losers like that, Farrah is also a child of nature. Farrah simply has a lot of love to give. Growing up in a big family with multiple siblings, she isn't one to shy away from showing her love through hugs, kisses and friendship bracelets.

Being a long-time friend of Yungho, Maxwell was introduced to the girls by the latter. The two had initially been friends because they were office-bearers of their respective sports teams, Yungho with Badminton and Maxwell with Hockey. After being introduced and slowly fitting into their little circle of friends, the rest realise that he's the personality they were desperately lacking between them - someone sane to keep their insanity at bay.

Maxwell O'Connell is one of aviana's close friends. Introduced by Yungho to the rest, Maxwell is the last one to be a part of their friend group despite knowing them from afar. Max's family owns the popularized restaurant in Hampstead Heath, The Lodge and Meadow. In between toggling high school and being teenagers together, Max invited the others to help him out in the kitchen of the restaurant on a particularly busy Sunday. And eventually, the rest ended up with part-time jobs at the place on weekends. He is also, unsurprisingly, the best at culinary out of them.

Aviana knows Max to be the most sensible and responsible one in the group. He's considered to be the dad friend who keeps track of everyone and glues them together. Though Max is very reserved and quiet at first, he's one of the funniest people Aviana has met. With his million-dollar smile and knowledge of dad jokes, Max is someone who can make you laugh regardless of where you are. Aviana takes impromptu cooking classes from him when she has time - which almost always ends up with aviana rage quitting and Max finishing the food by himself.

With his flourishing career in the field of business and logistics, Jonathon Rae is the owner of multiple tea plantations in Kenya, India, China and Sri Lanka whilst also working as a Director at Lipton Tea and Infusions™.

Soniya Fernando is a woman from Colombo, Sri Lanka. She was born and raised as the middle daughter of a five-membered family. She met her spouse during a university exchange programme. Now married to Jonathon Rae and mother to Aviana and Alden, she's currently a Senior Lecturer for Business Studies and Management at the Camden School of Business.

Aviana's relationship with her parents is one of huge complications. Dating back to the early days of childhood, Aviana and Alden seem to have a rather distant bond with them. Soniya, always a strict and orderly woman, is much more of a teacher than a mother to any of them from what Aviana reveals. Jonathon, who's much linear in comparison, is mostly swayed by his wife's stern and unwavering decisions that aren't always great.

Soniya and Jonathon, though close to the rest of One Direction parents, have never publicly shared their happiness with Aviana's success like the rest. The two were initially so against with their daughter's choice of career that they refused to support her in the matter altogether, leading Aviana to fully depend on herself. The rift between Aviana and her parents runs deeper than any of them lets it out, hence why the first thing she did once turning eighteen was change her family name 'Rae' to her paternal grandmother's family name; Fernsby.

Ruvin Alden Rae is Aviana's biological older brother. With a two-year-old age gap between them, both of them were born and raised in Sri Lanka for the early part of their childhood. Alden is a badminton player as well as a community server. Once he finishes his studies at North Hampstead High, he eventually pursues a career in the design field which leads him to be an automotive designer in the future.

Alden and Aviana have a complicated brother-sister relationship as revealed by themselves, close family and friends. thought they used to be close when they were young, the two drifted away once the Rae family moved to England. Physical fights between Aviana and Alden are normalized in a way they shouldn't be. The tense and uncomfortable atmosphere between them can't be blamed on simple sibling rivalry - there seemed to be something more than that. All differences aside, Alden and Aviana have the ability to get close when it's beneficial for them. And surprisingly, community service is something that brings the two a little closer.

Though the two are not on good terms most of the time, Alden is the only family member whom Aviana contacts consistently. Alden is also the only one who at least half-heartedly supported Aviana's career throughout the years. The older is close to her sister's bandmate Louis. With his public bond with the boys of One Direction, fans almost speculate that Alden is closer to them than her sister in some instances. Alden is also known to be the one who acquired all the 'brown genes' of their maternal family.
