60's UK Diary recently discovered 50 year old diary of a London kid in the sixties

Friday 16th February 1968

About half past seven in the evening my mum, dad and my sister (biggest) went to a dance in Guildford, my big sister wore a dress that she’s been making, it looked quite good.

I wasn’t allowed to go out because everyone went out and I had to look after my sister. So I asked Crissy and Tanks to come round.

Friday 9th February 1968

After my job I phoned up Chrissy and asked him if he would come to the pictures to see the film The Ambushers, it starred Dean Martin, Tanks also came. It was an ‘A’ film, we got in allright.

Sixties UK Diary

Sunday 4th February 1968

I stayed in all day today. I didn’t get up until about 1 o’ clock. Then I went downstairs and had my dinner shortly afterwards. After my dinner I done a lot of homework and then just watched the tele all day, mainly feature films.

I didn’t even go out in the garden, I stayed completely in all day. No one came and knocked for me and I didn’t knock for anyone.
