Dear Mouth

I swear to sweet fluffy kittens you are going to be on my naughty list. My tongue is dryer than a thing that is really dry that I cannot think of right now (Brain fog don’t you even dare use this as an excuse to act up - If you do then it is a marathon of horror movies to trigger hyper-vigilance so at least you are occupied). I see that you have doubled down on the dryness factor. 

Do you really have to add pain from the roof of my mouth (I swear to chocolate lupus and sjogrens if this is your doing I am going to do SOMETHING to you)? 

Mouth don’t think I have forgotten you. I am going to think of something absolutely out of your comfort zone like a century egg. If you like it we can find thing to punish you with.

Dear Methotrexate,

I know we only just officially met two weeks ago. And I hear you can do great things for me (a 50-70% remission rate for lupus is amazing). But here is the thing: Right now I am not seeing anything from your nice side. I could put up with dealing with the lupus symptoms while you kicked in. I accepted that after taking you my brain glitches for two days. I gave up my weekends for you. And it is all starting to seem one sided. Two weeks in and I already have a sinus infection and my usual lupus symptoms. Get your shit together. Lots of love DisabledSecretPolice

There is nothing like a nosebleed to lubricate a dry nose.

Having to leave work to run and buy extra strength antacids because you lack the saliva necessary to prevent acid reflux.

My everything is so dry that my coworkers think that I have a cold and a huge jerk who decided to come into the office anyways.
