STICK SEASON - NOAH KAHAN WRITING CHALLENGE MASTERLIST
------------------------
I had mixed feelings about lying in silence with my thoughts.
There were times when it would be great. A time to sort through any confusion or anger. I could find my way through all sorts of problems that way.
Other times were hell. When problem-solving became fixating and I found myself dwelling on mistakes I had made. I didn't have any power over whatever stress I had.
I heard my phone buzzing. It was a collection of texts. I didn't want to answer it. As much as I despised the silence at that moment, the idea of having to explain myself made me sick to my stomach.
My phone stopped for a little while. And then, I heard someone knocking on my door. I groaned a bit, running my hands over my face.
My phone buzzed a few moments later.
It didn't take much for me to realize the sounds were connected. I reached over and checked the message.
Arthur: I'm at your door. Let me in.
I unlocked my phone and looked over the texts that he had sent me.
It was a mix of questions about if I was okay and messages about how he was going to stop by. I knew why he was worried. I had ignored him through the end of the day. It was wrong, I knew that. I had just been so stuck in my thoughts that it didn't really click until I got home.
Another message came through and I finally relented, sighing and pushing myself off my bed.
I paused right by the door, handing resting on the doorknob for a moment before pulling the door open. Arthur paused whatever message he was frantically typing when he heard the door open.
"There you are," he said, stepping forward and hugging me.
I expected a thousand questions surrounding what had happened and why I ignored him. I was already preparing answers in my mind, hoping to avoid the additional stress in the long run.
But as I hugged him back, there was only one question, "Are you okay?"
I stepped back slowly, nodding to him.
He closed my front door as I walked over to my couch and sat down. He sat down next to me, frowning a bit at my silence.
"Do you want to talk about it," he asked. I shook my head. "Okay."
"Sorry," I muttered. I ran my hands over my face again. "It's just... it's been a long week. I needed time to myself. I thought I did... it didn't help much."
I always did that. Withdrew when I got overwhelmed. Part of why Arthur was my best friend was because he seemed to fight it. He got too worried to leave me on my own unless I asked. Even then he would send me messages to check in every couple of hours.
I remember my friends digging into that pattern. They would constantly say that there was so much more there than there was. Arthur was my friend. My best friend. And that was all there was to it.
And that was all I would tell them.
"Is there anything you need," Arthur asked. I shook my head. "Are you sure? I could make you something. Or just get some water-"
"Arthur," I touched his arm. "I'm alright."
He slowly nodded and relaxed a bit more.
I grinned a bit.
I wouldn't really mind having more with him. I had thought about it more than I would care to admit. It wouldn't be all that different. Just more affectionate. My skin would sometimes feel like it was begging for someone to just hold me. Having that be Arthur, someone that I knew and cared about, would be the best-case scenario.
Without much thought, I shifted so my head was resting on Arthur's shoulder. He reached out and touched my knee. Silent support when I needed it.
I'm not sure how long we sat there. I just knew the longer we did, the more certain I was that I didn't mind going through such rough moments if Arthur was waiting on the other side of them. I looked at the hand on my leg. I wanted to reach out and intertwine our fingers. I was just too scared to do it.
So, I forced myself to keep my hands in my lap. I picked at the skin around my nails instead of holding his hand like I wanted to.
"Thank you," I mumbled. "For showing up. You didn't have to do that."
"Yes, I did," he replied. I moved my head, so my chin was resting on his shoulder.
"Why?"
He hummed.
"Why did you have to?"
"Because I care about you," he answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "I want to know that you're okay. Take care of you."
I grinned to myself.
I moved back a bit. I shifted enough that I could be face-to-face with him. He grinned at me softly. I took a moment to let my eyes bounce around his face; from eyes to cheekbones to nose to forehead to lips.
I took a deep breath before leaning forward and pressing my lips to his.
It was short and sweet and awkward. I started pulling back almost as soon as Arthur started kissing me back. He blinked at me slowly, seemingly stunned by what I had done. I bit back a chuckle at his expression.
"Woah," he muttered.
I couldn't hold back the chuckle at that one.
"Would it sound stupid to say that I've been waiting for years to do that," he asked.
I shook my head. "No... because I have been too."
He smiled at me before leaning over and kissing me again. I placed my hands on his shoulders as I kissed him back. It was like the air around us settled. I hadn't even noticed any tension or awkwardness, but I suddenly felt more relaxed. Like pieces of a puzzle were finally coming together to show the bigger picture.
I knew right then that I could spend forever like that. In that state of happiness. Of loving and being loved.
And I allowed myself to believe that Arthur thought that too.

➳ “There’s no way I’m letting you spend the holidays alone.”
You hadn’t seen William ever since he had moved to London. (In person, at least.) While the two of you had frequently been talking over the phone, it hadn’t been the same as seeing each other. Feeling each other. Being with each other.
William’s street was aglow with lights and decorations for the upcoming holidays. You pulled your coat tighter around your body, trying your best to warm up against the bitter cold. You used the spare key to William’s apartment and immediately noticed the kitchen light on, only steps away in the corridor. You could hear movement and the sound of ingredients being mixed together for a late night dinner.
You slipped off your shoes and did your best to move soundlessly through William’s apartment. Gazing around the corner, you spotted him in the kitchen, preparing food for himself with his back towards you. He had no idea you were even there. (Which was rather creepy when you thought about it.)
You silently moved to stand behind him, gently placing your hands on his side. William jumped in surprise and quickly turned with his fists raised in defense. You quickly stepped back with wide eyes, grinning widely at his expression. William took a moment to realize his current situation.
“(YOUR NAME)!” he exclaimed, reaching out to wrap his arms around you. “What are you doing here?!”
“There’s no way I’m letting you spend the holidays alone.”
*Trigger warning* cursing, toxic behavior, "hints" of abusive relationship, Christoffer basically just being mad cause he's a dumbass
"This is stupid. Goodnight Chris.", as you're about to hang up you can hear him scream into the phone.
"If you don't open the fucking door right now, I swear I'll kick it in. I don't care! I know he's with you y/n so stop lying and open the door.", Christoffer keeps yelling and as you get up you pull a blanket around your body to cover up.
Speed walking through your apartment you pass the living room where two of your flatmates are laying on the couch, watching TV. "Really y/n. Again? If you don't tell him to stop screaming bloody murder outside I'll have to kill him myself.", with an annoyed eye roll Sille sits up on the couch to watch you open the door. The brown haired boy doesn't waste a second and storms past you, right towards your room.
"Where the f*ck is he? I swear to god I'll kill him and you right after!", he pulls all the blankets off your bed before ripping open your closet doors.
"I already said it, but I'll say it again since you apparently didn't listen to me the other twenty times I told you - I don't know who should be here or who you're looking for, Chris.", you close your bedroom door and lean against the wall while watching every move he makes.
"Maksim! He is here. I heard him while we were talking.", Chris turns towards you and traps you between the door and him.
"I was watching Tv, Christoffer. Alone." you answer him calmly and hold his gaze.
"Don't you dare lie to me y/n!", he slams his fist into the wall, right next to your head which makes you flinch.
"Then call him! Ask your friend where he is and what he's doing.", you tense your jaw and try to duck beneath his arm to get a bit of distance between the two of you.
"Give me your phone.", he grabs your arm and while taking a deep breath you hand him your phone. While scrolling through your contacts he still squeezes your arm, which will certainly leave a bruise.
"Why don't you have his number saved?", the brown haired looks at you with narrowed eyes.
"Because I don't have his phone number. I talked to Maksim once, Chris. You were standing next to me, at one of your stupid parties!", you try to free your arm out of his grip.
"Are you telling the truth?", he let's go of your arm and you pull the blanket back over your shoulder again.
"Why would I lie to you Chris? You know that I would never do something like that to you.", you sit down onto your bed and look up at him while he walks towards you again.
Stopping right in front of you he reaches out and cups your cheek in his hand.
"I hate how much I love you.", he sighs and gives you one of his signature smirks.
"I hate the way that I don’t hate you.", you give him a slight smile and pick up one of your pillows that was laying next to his feet.
While placing it back onto your bed you scoot up and lay back down onto the spot you had been on for the whole evening before Christoffer had interrupted your movie marathon.
Chris didn't move so you pulled back your blanket to get him to lay down next to you.
With a chuckle he takes off his shoes and pulls his Sweater over his head leaving him only in his joggers.
You let your eyes wander over his toned body while he sinks into the mattress next to you, immediately pulling you closer to him and trailing his hand up and down you sides making you shiver.
You feel his hot breath on your neck and as you bury your hand in his hair he kisses you.
Pulling back you look at him with a taunting look on your face.
"With your mouth on mine, there's less bullshit coming out of it.", Chris grabs the back of your neck while guiding you to position yourself on top of him so you straddle his hips.
"Just because we’re kissing now doesn’t mean I suddenly like you. For the record, I still hate you.", you smile and Chris bursts out laughing while pulling your face closer again and kissing you.
Elias figuring out he's also into boys after meeting you, Yousef's cousin.
I forgot if Yousef ever mentioned something about his homelife (who he lives with) but I remember them mentioning his aunt so I'm gonna assume he lives with her.
Elias munched on a carrot as he watched Yousef wash the dishes.
"Yo! I'm home!" He heard an unfamiliar voice and turned his head, looking at the male who entered.
"Hey, (N/N)." Yousef greeted.
"Elias, this is my cousin, (Y/N)." Yousef introduced them, drying his hands. (Y/N) smiled, shaking his hand. Elias felt his heartbeat pick up when they made contact and his stomach fluttered when (Y/N) shot him a charming smile.
"I'm about to collapse. If you need me, I'll be in my room." (Y/N) told Yousef before leaving. Yousef looked at Elias, raising a brow.
"What's up?"
"I think I'm gay." Elias mumbled. Yousef snorted.
"No way. You're way into girls to be gay."
"Then I'm into both genders." Elias huffed. Yousef sat down.
"How do you know?" He asked
"I think your cousin's hot and I wouldn't mind letting him hit it." Elias stated. Yousef scrunched up his nose.
"Traumatizing image." He sighed. (Y/N) entered the kitchen, opening the fridge.
"Hey, (N/N)?" Yousef looked at him as Elias shot him a warning look. (Y/N) hummed.
"One of my friends is unsure if their bi or not. Do you have any advice considering you're bi as well?" Yousef asked.
"Well, if you're attracted to the same gender the same way you're attracted to the opposite gender... Chances are that you're probably bi." (Y/N) said, opening his cup of yogurt. Yousef nodded, looking at Elias.
"I heard your conversation, by the way." (Y/N) spun around, leaving the kitchen. Yousef chuckled as Elias covered his face, groaning softly.
(Chris Schistad x Magnusson!Reader): Parent Headcanons
Request: hi! could i request a skam headcanon of the reader being William’s twin sister and having a child with Chris (toddler like 4-5) but you aren’t together in a relationship? Thank you.
Okay! So like you probably hooked up at a party when you were both too wasted to remember protection (which is obvi BAD but mistakes happen!)
And so you were probably freaking out and William was freaking out because he had to be the one to go buy the pregnancy test for you
And then take you to all of the doctor appointments
Because he’s the best brother
And you lied and told him you didn’t remember who you hooked up with because you knew that he was going to mURDER whoever it was
But Chris isn’t about to lie to him so he comes over and admits it to William
Who takes it surprisingly well
Mostly because Chris makes it clear that he’s going to be there for you every single step of the way and be the best father that he can possibly be
So i feel like the first couple months of the pregnancy you both try to make the relationship work so that your kid can have parents that are together
But it becomes clear very quickly that the two of you just don’t work together romantically
But as parents-
Y’all are DYNAMO
Like y’all are schooling all the other expecting parents at the parenting classes
Reading every book, having great conversations about how you want to raise this baby, being the best team together
So like the baby comes and Chris is the most doting father ever
Like i feel like he picks up on how to take care of a baby really quickly
And William is stressed out af to be an uncle and probably panic buys half of the fuckin baby store in order to feel remotely prepared
I feel like there are no hitches in your whole co-parenting system, like you’re both hyper-aware of your kid’s schedule, and who is doing what and you both just are trying so hard to be the best parents possible
And it’s hard, don’t get me wrong
But you both do great given the circumstances
Chris def brings the best snacks when it’s his turn for your daycare group
And all the other kids probably love him as much as your kid
And let's be real, he’s so charming that I’m sure all the other parents fall in love with him
And like you’re both making sure your kid is super smart, playing classical music, reading to your kid, just interacting with them as much as possible and spending good quality time together as a family
And like they know that even though you’re not married or together like other kid’s parents, that you love them so much
Pretending to be Mia's girlfriend so Alex leaves her alone.
"(Y/N)!" (Y/N) turned around, huffing when someone hugged her.
"Please play along." Mia whispered in her ear before pulling away. (Y/N) blinked, looking up at Alex. It clicked when Mia grabbed her hand and held it.
"Can I help you?" (Y/N) asked, raising an eyebrow. Alex chuckled in disbelief.
"How long have you two been together?" He asked, crossing his arms.
"Some weeks. Remember the party when we kissed? We went out afterwards but kept it private. Guess the secret's out because you're one stubborn motherfucker." (Y/N) said, lying smoothly. Mia grinned widely.
"Now, will you leave me alone? Or do you want my gorgeous girlfriend to beat you up?" Mia asked. (Y/N) sent her a smile before looking back at Alex. He raised his hands in defeat and walked away. The girls walked over.
"Are you guys actually together?" Kiki asked as Alex glanced over.
"Yep!" (Y/N) nodded before Mia could respond. Amira seemed to figure it out and smiled.
"Could've told us sooner." Amira said, winking at them. Mia squeezed (Y/N)'s hand.
"Can we go now? I'm starving." Sam pouted. Kiki giggled and nodded, walking away.
"I owe you big time." Mia said quietly, pressing a quick kiss to her cheek.
"William is the coolest guy here. His sister is (Y/N). She's a year above us." Vilde told Eva. Sana gently hit her arm, motioning over.
"There they are." She said. Eva turned her head, looking at William. Her eyes stayed locked on the girl walking alongside him. (Y/N) was on her phone, separating from her brother to go to her friends. She walked past them, giving them small smiles. Eva smiled back, hearing Vilde greet her.
"She's really pretty." Eva said, looking at the girls. Vilde nodded.
