If you know you know 😔
i'm screaming y'all
So recently, I've been celebrating over the fact that I managed to get my bro to read the RA series.
He's obsessed with it now, obviously, and I take every opportunity I can to remind him and shove it back in his face that he once called the series Boring (I know right? How could he!).
Anyways, I was eating in the kitchen when I brother came in and said to me, "I like Handel."
Now, he is currently up to reading Icebound Land.
So, I looked at him funny and asked why, he responded with,
"Well, because he gave Will the rags and the warm-thingy"
😶
Bro didn't understand what occurred 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
The Gathering day 7 - Culture
Skandian inspired moodboard showing Skandia's culture 🪓✨️
As promised, this is how Will sees a whale: a big blue fish the size of a castle with a hole in his head. (A tiny Will is added for size comparison)
Headcanon that Skandians have a different understanding of a term personal space because when you are about to freeze to death you kind of want to limit any space between you and any other source of warmth to minimum. Also, spending the majority of the year aboard a small ship with around 10 other people changes your view on things… some of them just don’t seem to even be personal anymore.
5, The Icebound Land
"So boy," Erak continued, "those eyes are a little close together, but then so are Slogar's." There was a ripple of amusement from the Skandians and Erak now addressed them directly. "Let's all watch them carefully and see if anything appears between them, shall we?"
And as he said that, he pretended to peer closely at the keg on the table. It was almost inevitable that everyone else in the room should follow his example. Will hesitated a second, but sensed that he could trust Erak. the message the Skandian leader was sending him was absolutely clear. Quickly, he drew back his arm in an overhand throw and sent the knife spinning across the room.
Floating tables are now a thing. Environments and foreshortening. Big oof... let's pretend both Slogar and Erak or just off the page, that the table is a bit further away and that Will's hands are okay
Do Skandians even wear armor??
Because logic and common sense says yes, yes they do, but fuck if the cover art and canon descriptions completely fail to mention it.
What to say abt this 🥲
