One of my favourite memories from my recent Miami Basel solo exhibition in Wynwood, was making the Skate Robot Throne. It was a community effort done in only 2 days!! Starting with my friend pro skater Danny Fuenzalida @fuensta who collected all the used skateboards for me, along his friends @madaboutskateboarding @leex1000 @mannymo1k @marradepaz and @flavourcountry . Then the ambitious 4 arm/4 leg beast was built (under my direction) by the talented carpenters @kennyferron_subsqwad and @osmosis74 . I then spray painted it over a whole day and had my friends @m_bellesmart and @lucho_el_artesano help me out with the marker black lines. Cops actually kicked us out of the street spot I was working this at, but our volunteers helped me move it to a spot I could finish it just in time for the opening of the show. The first 2 pics here where taken by @michael_dyll_photography who drove all the way from Georgia to volunteer several days towards the preparation of the show. Blows my mind that my art can get nice people together to help me realize these projects and soul offerings! This was the first skate robot I have done in 5 years, and it was very well received at my exhibition, with many people sitting on it to get their picture taken. The cherry on top was selling it that same night! This successful Mexican artist @carlosfelix2161 , who was exhibiting in a gallery next to my warehouse, bought and shipped it to his place in Mexico City! So cool to have a fellow artist support me like that. Anyways, this is just one story, of so many, of how the #positivecreationstribe cane together in Miami to help me realize a dream.
