For the ask game: Fíli/Ori?

Hi!

Ooooh, this is a tough one. And probably the most controversial thing I have ever said on this website? But, to be honest, I don't dislike Ori, but he doesn't really have a special place in my heart. I never really took to him, which is a shame, because he is such a good character, but for some reason I don't really enjoy writing or reading about him that much.

So, I don't really ship him with anyone, but I have to say: I read some very good Fíli/Ori fics, so I can absolutely see why people love those two together.

"Why don’t you ship it?": Just not really shipping Ori with anyone, to be honest, though I can see the appeal.

"What would have made you like it?": I think, I never really read a characterization of Ori that I really, really enjoyed or that caught me in a way. And I think, I would need that to enjoy a ship with him.

"Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it?": I have a lot of positive things to say. The fanart and fanfics are lovely and there are a lot of very sweet headcanons about scribe Ori and crown prince Fíli, especially about the courting. So, I still enjoy the fanworks, even though I don't really ship them.

74. Do you have a fic you wish got a bit more love?

All of them 🤣 i stopped writing Blooms bc i felt like it wasn't getting much traction, and i wasn't inspired anymore. It's a shame bc i felt like i had a very interesting concept. Ah well. 😭 Cleansed and Priorities too, but those make sense bc Priorities is about my teen OC so that checks out, and Cleansed has art on the way👌🏾
