Castle of the Crystal in a nutshell
Skeksis height hc
Quiet.
(Mechanical pencil on paper (top)
Acrylic markers and gelpen (bottom)
Dadmal Au head canons
Seeing as nobody asked
Skekmal isn’t exactly an ‘overprotective dad’ but he does consider his kids a lot more fragile than they actually are.
And so if one gelfling wants to hunt, the rest have to tag along for their safety
Rian is considered the runt of the group due to his lack of wings or extra arms
Skekmal found Rian when he was a literal baby.
Deet appeared when she and Rian were both around 2 or 3
Brea showed up at the age of 5
Deet prefers to wear softer and fluffy animal hide
Brea and Rian prefer tougher clothing for protection
Rian wears the most trophies out of all the gelfling trio
Deet rarely walks during hunting; she prefers to fly
Rian is particularly ruthless towards targets
Brea makes excellent traps for prey
Deet uses animal calls to lure prey
All three gelfling have bone masks that make them resemble birds (or skeksis)
Brea is the only one who can read and write
The gelfling have an odd relationship with UrVa
Skekmal won’t let them near his other half but UrVa is under the impression that the kids are unwilling participants in skekmal’s hunting
The other skeksis are aware of Skekmal’s protégés, however they don’t know that they are gelfling

After a long day’s hunt, cuddle piles are necessary in the cold forest
A more accurate description of this ‘cuddling’ is ‘Brea Deet and Rian using their dad as a weighted blanket’
The kids Dreamfast with each other during boring hunting trips
Rian loves making almost everything into a game or fun competition
Brea is the master of hide and seek
Deet prefers to have her hair up so it doesn’t get in the way of her wings
Brea uses her hair like a storage compartment
Skekmal full on snatches his kids up if he thinks they’re in danger
The kids will not eat unless Skekmal tries some first
I HAD A VISION-
{Jokes aside. Stories different and different planet on this stories. Appearances and personalities semi-similar depending on how you look at it. BOTH THEY ARE ALIENS! They are evil and good counterparts/skins of one character and the evils feed on the planet's native species!}
ANYWAYS:
SkekLach the Collector - Mechanical Puppet Hands - Jim Henson Company 70th Anniversary Auction on Julien's Auctions, sold for $2,240 - Lot 101
"A pair of mechanical puppet hands for the Skeksis, skekLach the Collector (performed by Helena Smee and voiced by Awkwafina) from the prequel series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (Netflix, 2019).
These hands are comprised of foam latex with a three finger handle. The handle contains pulleys and triggers for the fingers, allowing each of them to control an aspect of the hands' motions. The thumb trigger activates the hands' wrists, with the other two triggers controlling the other fingers in the hands. A piece of tape with handwriting that reads, "COLLECTOR," on one side is present on the handle of each hand. The hands of all of the Skeksis puppets were detachable at the elbow in order to switch between armature hands and mechanical hands.
Dimensions: Approx: 6 x 1.75 x 21.5 inches, each"
