Skelena (Work in Progress) The very first page in my sketchbook and I'm working on it since 2015, goddammit! I really should have thought about the whole "dress made of butterflies" thing BEFORE doing it! But what can I say? I'm not the best when it comes to thinking and ... Working with my brains xD Still the day will come when she's all colored and stuff and when I can finally start inking all the other sketches on the pages between her and Lapis. Till then ~

No yeah, I agree with everything you said and I think you and I probably blocked the same person in the tag. I doubt in the long run that Butters will escape his abusive friendship with Cartman, but I didn't see Butters breaking. I saw strength in his ability to catch on. Butters usually goes along with whatever Cartman says out of trust and nativity. In this circumstance he was actually aware of what Cartman was doing and did what he did to protect himself. It was a positive moment for Butters.

I guess... i think it's obvious how shitty the friendship is tho, so like i said, i have no problem with its canon existence, even though butters tends to get a lot of fucked up shit dumped on him. Cartman has really become the embodiment of evil in this show. My only issue really is that, in my opinion, the dynamic is getting a bit old for me... cartman is evil, and either kyle as all against him, or someone else takes a stand... i guess thatd be my only complaint tho... id like things to get mixed up a bit again like last season.

but its not like im not enjoying the show, so i think ill just be happy for it as is lol

I saw Butters giving in as a sign that he had become aware of Cartman's manipulation. He realized everything Cartman was saying was a lie, and everything Cartman does is just making things worse, so Butters lies to Cartman about how he's thankful and everything to placate Cartman so it can all just be over instead of escalating further. It was sad that he gave up fighting against Cartman but he recognized that he needs to stop listening to what Cartman tells him and to stop trusting him.

but is he going to stop being friends with cartman? or is he gonna stick around so this kind of stuff happens all over again? he gave in, and thus allows the abuse to be perpetuated.

but this is going a bit too in depth... the canon friendship is toxic to begin with, but its there for the sake of the show's plot lines. i just can't handle people looking at that and going "aww look how cute they are"

im seriously not trying to make a statement against the show here, just the people who see that in the show and work it into some toxic ass ship as if it's just some cute relationship to swoon over... no thx
