what if the real friends were the bones we made along the way
Skeleton Bones- HS Cherubs AU Animatic
I posted the first 6 panels of this animatic here a while ago, but I ended up going through with drawing more 😂 This idea started when I listened to this song and realized it could fit the cherubs really well. Then I started creating an AU for them.
To repost the loose idea for this:
A Callie and a Caliborn from seperate timelines meet and find that they don't hate each other anymore because they've both gone through a lot without the other. Caliborn has been humbled after getting the instant gratification of killing everyone, but bearing solitude afterwards, stuck with a mind-ghost Dirk to be his unkillable Jimminy Cricket. He becomes maaaaybe just a bit remorseful, though he's still a brat that wouldn't admit it out loud.
Meanwhile, in her timeline, Calliope got her Caliborn to agree to working together, and underhandedly, successfully killed him before they had a chance to godtier. She ascended by herself, but she didn't get to celebrate her victory. She watched her worst nightmare play out as she got shunned by her 'friends'. The more they spoke with her through her journey, the more it was clear that she was actually... sinister. Callous with life, justifying cruel ends and too wrapped up in fantasies to see the horrors she had committed. They turn their back to her and Calliope's hopes of friendship are crushed.
Needless to say both ended up in doomed timelines where they are still alive, but stuck.The two had gone through lots of self-hatred and anger but they've mellowed out by the time they meet and kinda get swept up with their God-Tier powers bringing them both, against all odds, to the same place and time.
Somewhere they can get a fresh start, and actually become helpful and accepted by the rest of the cast. Idk how this would work, truthfully, but I'm apparently a sucker for the these AUs. :'p
