This is one of the more ambitious attacks I did during ArtFight 2025, featuring Sol for @tartifondue! I picked her because I was looking for skeleton OCs to fit the fossils theme, and on top of being a skeleton, Sol was also a pokemon based on a dinosaur! I wanted her to be raising an undead army, so I did some research on pokemon fossils (and pokemon in general lol) and picked three candidates that would fit right in - Aurorus, Raikou and Krookodile :D
I adore Sol’s design and personality, and I had so much fun painting this spooky scene~
I came in one day and went just "let's draw each others' skele-mommas!" and well, here we are! I drew Kat's new character; Ellipsis, mother of Sans and Papyrus in her AU, Seventh Soul!
The best way to get out of an art block or to figure out what you were supposed to draw is ask your friends for drawing prompts and then go wild with it

So, again, I am very much emphasizing on the fact that this isn't a UT blog or whatever,
BUT
I've had this fic idea stuck with me for a long time and I just barely had it fleshed out a while ago. (let's be honest, it barely got any flesh, it's just barebones no pun intended XD) In fact, this idea will be reworked/refined later on if I ever get around to it.
So, it's an Undertale mixed AU fic alright. A Lodge-verse fic, if you will, except for a few things.
Main thing out the way, I don't think I'd actually do a toxic relationship with any of the skeletons. I mean if we were to even look at the original versions I doubt they'd be easily fooled by a "Taylor" or a "Heather" type of character at all.
Instead it would be a toxic friendship between bitchy character and the other human. The other person does feel something off about her but never had any actual proof or was gaslit into believing she was still her best friend.
Although I don't think it'd be any of the skeletons' business what this person does, if it does happen to rub them the wrong way then they wouldn't just necessarily stand there forever. (especially the Papyrus personalities.)
And who is the other character? Well I'll be honest I wouldn't really put in a y/n or Reader at all because I know for certain I'd never pull that off. I mean if anything, I understand wanting it to be open to anyone but I also know with most reader fics, the reader is mischaracterized whether it's heavily or not.
However, in it not being a reader fic, it does allow me to counter it with OCs instead and I have more than just humans that'll expand a bit more into the fic. (Like two skeleton OCs who actually aren't a Sans or Papyrus variants, maybe a few more human characters and some monster OCs depending on where the fic would go.)
But wait! Is there romance in this fic? Imma tell you right now, yes there is, but it does make the OC look kinda crazy. I mean it's totally not her communicating with someone in the void using a spirit box she's testing for Aaron in the middle of the night. (YES OC HAS MONSTER FRIENDS DAMN!) (Can I also say they accidentally discover they got a soul bond with each other and that bond has no qualms about the distance between the physical plane and the literal point of nonexistence? It wouldn't be the first time I tackled a soulmate connection just look at my two Ninjago OCs, Kathy and Vasuki.)
HOWEVER, I want there to be more than just romance.
Basically, I want it to start as a kind of Lodge-verse story, (kinda strong to call it that cause those boneheads are most definitely not sticking in the same house.. maybe a neighborhood or something) but something else will be happening too.
Something suspenseful and sinister. Something about monsters on the street/residing in the city disappearing and something else about the timeline morphing itself to hold the extra skeletons. (Yes, there will be more skeletons to add than the typical groups, including the kid versions of them and even my own AU version of the Serif/Font Fam.)
Just why would these monsters disappear? What is happening in those streets? Is someone hurting the monsters, and if so, where is the dust?
And how come the timeline doesn’t have a number but it has a name? And why is it "sanctuary"? Just what is it sanctuary from?
