"You want a love potion?" The witch before him asked. The witch had pink hair that easily went down to his ankles and black clothing covering him. Silver jewelry hung from his face and rings with gems covered his hands. His eyes were brighter then the sun but pierced through lies like a sword.
"What gives you that impression?" Oka asked with a smirk. The male before the witch was younger although one might mistake him for being older based on their looks alone (witches found ways to live for a long time). He gave off the impression that he might have worked a farm his whole life with the dirt smudges on his clothes and the calloused appearance of his hands. When he grinned his nose scrunched and when he frowned his eyebrows fell. Someone else might call him naive, the witch thought amusing suited him better.
"You have this love sick look in your eyes," the witch mentions with a shrug. He turns back into his cottage and leaves the door open for Oka to follow him in while he got to work.
"Oh really? And what kind of look is that?" Oka asked. He followed inside and leaned against a counter as the witch worked over a pot that was heated by a magical red flame.
"Hard to describe, some might say you look stupid and it would get the same point across," the witch said. It got a soft chuckle out of both of them. While passing by the witch plucked a piece of hair from Oka's head and added it into the pot. "Hm... he has brightly coloured hair and beautiful eyes."
"I suppose he does," Oka shrugged.
"You know, my love potions," the witch started as he seemed to toss things in at random, "Don't work if the other doesn't share a smidge of similar feelings."
"I know, somehow this is more ethical?" Oka suggested. It wasn't. Both of them knew that messing with another’s feelings was in no way ethical.
"Somehow," the witch agreed. He sprinkled in a powder and the liquid dissolved until a small cake was left in its place. "So should we discuss the fee?"
"I never asked for that."
"I always know what my customers want, there was no need for you to ask."
"Do you know who I want to eat that?" Oka asked and pushed himself off from the counter half heartedly and made his way over. He grabbed the cake from the pot and ignored the way it made the nerve endings on his fingers sizzle.
"I couldn't tell," the witch admitted.
"So you aren't as good as I thought you would be," Oka suggested. He smirked when the witch frowned. Oka shrugged apologetically before offering the witch the cake. "Take a bite. If it doesn't work then I'll pay double what you want for it."
"And if it does?" The witch asked, an amused look on his face.
"Then I'll find another way to thank you," Oka felt his face warm as he looked at the witch, suddenly feeling shy. Regardless, without much protest the witch leaned over and took a small bite of the cake.
Oka swallowed his nerves down as he watched the witch chew, and later swallow.
"So?" Oka tilted his head slightly, "how would you like to be paid?" He asked.
