I agree that the Fury tplot was lame; while I liked the idea of Regina having to pay the price (Dark swan dragging regina was aMAzing), the GoTG-esque solution was just bad writing. Like, idea was good but resolution was bleh. Regina's dagger scenes kinda rubbed me the wrong way too. Still, the CS stuff was so on point (KILLIAN MY BBY) that I'm willing to overlook it.

IMO fanfic was born out of the desire to write out the "missing scenes", which usually center around characters/relationships, which are often secondary to plot in source material. Maybe that's why we're drawn to that instead of gen/plot heavy fics?

oh yes! i agree! also it’s our only weapon against unnecessarily drawn out sexual tension, queerbaiting, premature character death, fades to black etc.
