Advice on surviving high school?
1) Have something to doodle in. Doodling helped me calm down. And if you have electronic test, always have a piece of paper because then you can doodle on there to calm your nerves.
2) Gum. It depends if your school allows gum, and luckily, mine did. I brought gum to me to school and that was a life savior. Not only for after lunch, but if I get super antsy, I would chew on it.
3) Bring a little extra of the important things (Fem Things(depends on who you are), Pencils, Pens, and a snack. If okay with the teacher, you can eat a small snack in your class. Either to make it to lunch or till the end of the day.
4) Music: It’s great for drowning out unwanted noise while either studding or doing homework early. Don’t, however, don’t play music while the teacher is talking! That’s a big no-no!
5) Do NOT regret being yourself. Do what makes you happy, as long as it follows school rules. If you want to dress up as Link and someone else as Mario and start having a rap battle or if you want to create a club for like dragons or even join a club! Do what makes YOU happy.
I feel like number Six and Seven is most important:
6) Not only make new friends, but make new experiences. Never give up on what you see and have fun on what you got. If you just have a few pieces of paper, pencils, and you got time to yourself in class, make a mini paper volley ball court! (note, harder than it sounds…)
7) Stop anyone being bullied and if you’re being bullied, go straight to a teacher you trust or your counselor. They are a few of your allies and they will help you out. Who knows, if you help out a kid being bullied, you’ll most likely let a life go on a bit longer and create a new friend. Don’t let peer-pressure get to you. IT IS OKAY TO SAY NO,
