The Saab Novanta concept car was developed by Bertone in collaboration with SKF to celebrate Bertone’s 90th anniversary. Presented at the 2002 Geneva Motor Show, it replaced mechanical linkages (steering column, brake pedals) with a digital interface that resembled an aircraft yoke. Drivers would twist the handles to accelerate, squeeze them to brake, and turn the unit to steer. It also featured an asymmetric configuration with one large door on the driver's side and two doors on the passenger's side.
