Summary: Jisung steps into Minho’s path and the prosecutor looks at him, looks him straight in the eyes, but doesn’t say a word.
Suspicion is thick in his throat, making it hard for Jisung to speak. “You did a good job today, Prosecutor Lee.”
Minho’s eyes widen the slightest when he recognizes Jisung’s voice, and it takes him a moment too long to reply. “You— You came.”
And all of Jisung’s assumptions are proven true with just those few words.
Lee Minho can’t recognize faces.
Notes: this feels like a k-drama, dude. i feel like op looked at minsung, looked at a crime k-drama, and said, "i know what i need to do." and they did it !! i'm impressed, honestly.
if you like k-dramas, you'll like this fic. naturally, it isn't as longwinded as most dramas since this fic is a little less than 20k, but i think that's beneficial in this case. it never really strays from the main plot, so the whole fic is pretty disciplined and focused in that regard. this may sound like i'm being too strict, but i find it to be a very good thing! sometimes fics have too much happening at once with little side plots, but i really enjoyed following along the same storyline for the entire 20k. it felt like we got all we really needed (and wanted!) out of it.
honestly, i really enjoyed this fic! it had some really fun k-drama trope moments that left me laughing and moments that had my heart melting because of the sweetness of it all. the characterization is really interesting since it feels like minho and jisung (and seungmin and chan!) are playing as characters in a k-drama rather than really acting as themselves, if that makes sense? it's hard to explain, but i found it really cool! this is definitely a plot first, character second type of fic, which i do enjoy since a lot of skz fics tend to focus on the characters.
please give this fic lots of love! it deserves it <3
