you and mrs. afton may not have had the best relationship with each other . you might've been argumentative , awkward , or perhaps even violent towards her , but for whatever reason there was certainly a disconnect between the two of you , and you were well aware it was likely your fault.

you tried your best , whether it was to distance yourself or be better towards her , but mrs. afton knew you didn't regret what you did at that time . you may have felt bad or guilty because your relationship was falling , but you didn't regret the things you said or did . you may have still loved her and cared for her , but she certainly didn't care . she was still hurt by your actions , no matter what you did to try and redeem them .
