Pokemon Card of the Day #1589: Skyarrow Bridge (Next Destinies)

Skyarrow Bridge was a simple Stadium that lowered the Retreat Cost of all Basic Pokemon in play by 1. It just so happened that it came at a time filled with Basic Pokemon, including Pokemon EX, and there were a ton of Pokemon it could help. While it didn’t get rid of the entire Retreat Cost for all of these Pokemon, even the reduction for things like Mewtwo EX, Zekrom, Tornadus EX, random supporting Pokemon, and the like was really nice. It was seen most often in the HGSS-On format since later formats had Float Stone, Keldeo EX, and other possible Stadiums like Virbank City Gym when used with Hypnotoxic Laser. It always did its job, though, and any deck relying a lot on Basic Pokemon that didn’t have alternatives like Darkrai EX or Keldeo EX had to at least take a good look at this card.
