Jay fans being all fired up about him being babied right now is so funny.
I mean we are right Jay would NOT be the first ninja to die but I do understand the misconception.
Take it from the person who had to clip every whimper for 5 seasons he is very winey and freaks out most. Some mistake him having a reasonable reaction to threats as weakness.
Jay might be objectively the least mentally stable looking at hunted and crystallized but I’d argue it makes him more paranoid and harder to kill. Fear never stops him..
Jay was the only Ninja to survive Nadakhan’s manipulation when caught alone. All former elemental masters wished it all away, Wu and Misako wished it all away. Jay defeated him.
And I’m sure other Jay fans have 1000 reasons to add, but I’ll save my long essay writing energy for My Skybound Video Script. (Please tag me in any passionate Jay is strong ranting I wanna hear it lmao)
We know Jay is a cockroach. A true reverse canary in a coal mine
He will always be the last to shut up and die.
Skybound Jay art, with Nadakhan appearance
Prosthetic…Jay… prosthetic limb jay…
Idk if you’re some kind of mind reader but I literally plan for Jay in my fic to lose an arm.
I really thought to myself “hm. What’s something no one will think I pull?” “Jay losing his arm on MK!” Then you showed up mr. Anon-know-it-all
I love Jay with a prosthetic arm because there’s so many mechanics in the show. Nya could build it for him, his parents, Zane, Pixal, or my favorite headcanon: himself!! And with his electricity he could totally write it up to be even better “___ many volts triggers [something really cool]”
I also like the idea because then I can totally destroy and demolish his arm bit by bit LIKE MAKE HIM LOSING EVERYTHING THEN ONLY AT THE END LOSE THE ARM ITSELF
Maybe even he pulled it out on his own because of infections who knows
Maybe you meant leg though :3 would be cool too
I finally figured out what style i wanna do for the comic :DD
been a while since I've posted and since I've last worked on this but that's cuz I've been debating on what style to go with and I've decided on my traditional style which is no coloring and just Inking and lots of cross hatching (Rip my thumb) with the occasional pop of color to give emphasis especially on the eyes.
also now that im describing my artstyle in traditional is I just realized it's basically just manga but eh.
Also first page done \( ^ω^ )/ WOOOHHH! I'm not ready to go back to school _(´ཀ`」 ∠) _
Also thank @tornoleander for giving me more references of the interior of Nadakhan's quarters really helped a lot
do you ever draw some lego ninjago fanart when you should actually be studying?

*Bruise kids au
A.K.A Cole and Jay accidentally adopt three kids, Lily(4), Morgan(6) and Riley(13) as a group project, while struggling to keep their ninja identities a secret from them. When family secrets from Jay’s past are uncovered, though, how will Jay and Cole explain their roles as element masters to the kids? This au is set right after Skybound and explores the unrequited?:) bruise dynamic we saw in skybound. Its sole purpose is to fulfil my desire for bruise related family fluff :) and to see Jay live the girl dad experience, because why does everyone else but Jay get to be a mentor/ parental figure but him?

*Storm Chaser
A.K.A I just wanna see dark/ morally grey Jay be the master of the skies and have an epic sky battle with Nadakhan. A Skybound Au, where Nadakhan manages to capture all the ninja in his djin blade, including Nya, after she refuses to marry him. Jay, however, evades capture and manages to convince the crew of Misfortune's keep to join him. Jay reminds them that Nadakahn is only interested in himself and that he will betray them when they are useless to him. Seeing that his crew have turned against him Nadakhan flees into the sky, taking his djin blade, and Jay's friends with him. In this au, the only way to return all the souls that were stolen by Nadakhan is to strike him with his own djin blade. So as the new captain of the Misfortune's keep, Jay embarks on a sky voyage to save his friends and put a stop to Nadakhan's destruction. But can Jay stay focused on his true goal? Or will this become a journey of revenge, seeing our hero hellbent on destroying anyone who gets in his way?
*ATLA au
So…. this plot isn't exactly an original, it’s more of a mashup of ATLA and Ninjago, ‘cause I was curious how each Ninjago character would fit into the ATLAverse.
Avatar Lloyd lives with his Uncle Wu in the Earth Kingdom, and works in his tea shop beside Earth bender- tournament champion and part-time jazz dancer Cole Brookestone. Lloyd soon learns that his father, banished to the spirit world, has found a means to control the spirits, and plans on releasing them into the mortal world as revenge for his banishment. Desperate to grow in elemental and spiritual power to stop his father Lloyd, alongside Wu and Cole, venture across the globe to help Lloyd master all four elements. Having mostly mastered Earth, Lloyd and his companions set out a path to travel to the fire nation, water tribes and finally to the air nomad temples. On the journey Lloyd meets the hot tempered blacksmiths, Kai and Nya, accident prone (but skilled) inventor Jay and architects Zane and Pixal, as well as a mysterious master of air.

was when I drew this. As well as the last page for Origins Ch1
Honestly this drawing was the whole reason i began making comic scenes for my AU because i wanted to create a whole scene, a story behind why the heck Jay just scooped and ripped out his own eye. One scene became a whole story inside my head.
