small thing i made for my short fic, ghost ship. had a lot of fun experimenting with the writing style and I really wanted to try and get the Vibes(tm) down in drawing. might not be the most accurate but I tried!
So like you might have understood, I'll be going to rewrite the sixth season of Ninjago, since it's my favourite, but I also like the theories about it :3
I already have written two chapters, and I'm going to narrate since the beggining, even if I will concentrate a lot especially on Nadakhan and Jay. The first chapter is the first episode, and the second the second.... Maybe I will add some more chapters but for now it'll be like this.
I'll post on ao3, I still don't have a name though, I mean for the work, so I accept suggestions.
Mostly I'm writing this post because I need to know the opinions of the one that are interested in reading my shit. So.... I've read bbnb, and I will try to be talking about the same themes, in the same dark and disturbing way too, but still not to much. That's because I'm trying to be most realistic as possible to the show, and I don't want the charactrs to be out of their usual and ecc.....
AND, I think only if it's not a crazy though, I'll add a Nadakhan backstory. I want to accentuate that he doesn't love Delara, but even if he did, it's still a toxic relationship. I have already written even the reason while he was exhiled in the firstplace. :]
Through this work I will try to fill up some of the numerous plot holes like how Nadakhan made P.I.X.A.L. disappear, why he just doesn't strick them all down with his sword, why he haven't made just Clancee wish all the ninjas away, like how he did with Lloyd and Cole.
So what do you think? If you have suggestions, or thinks that this is a terrible idea.... well I'm listening.

I’m not a writer, but I am a reader of all the skybound out there. Especially my friend Hat, and Mondo!
But neither of those fics tackle the top half of the disaster! Just Jay getting captured and after. But if you’re starting at the beginning, there is a lot you could fix or cover.
Things like the framing of Nya’s ark or The ninjas treatment of the djinn pursuing her. Could make everything so much more impactful.
I understand what they were going for with Nya and Jays love story but god they wrote everything so convoluted it took a lot of thinking to understand what changed with Nya and the feelings involved could have used a lot more clarity at the start.
Also, episode three is completely irrelevant other than Soto directing them to find the lantern. Despite the fact the mechanic used to be one of Sotos pirates and we had to witness his grossness on Zane. All for nothing the story moves on like nothing happened like I didn’t just have to watch that. Ugh 🔥🔥🔥 *burns episode 3 in my mind*. 
I also have a hunch the Hagaman brothers had to rewrite this episode to make it more family friendly and it still ended up like this based on something they said in an interview, but that’s just my conspiracy theory.
The execution of all the skybound things are poor, which sucks because they have very many good ideas.

It'd be cool for Nadakhan to return, since it's 100% possible, they have referenced the Teapot of Tyrahn multiple times post Skybound, and Djinjago is being rebuilt by Arrakore (i wonder what his opinion of Nadakhan was considering that he was prince of Djinjago, surprised they never mentioned that)
But at the same time... They're definitely gonna have to tone down the ol' Djinn prince a bit... Because when you rewatch Skybound, you'll probably ask
"how were any of his scenes allowed on a kids show?!??"
I watched a 9 minute video compilation about very yikes moments in the season, and, big surprise... The majority of it was Nadakhan trying to schedule a date with Chris Hansen...
Obviously he's meant to be a bad person, we're clearly not supposed to like his actions, he absolutely performs his job as a villain perfectly! He's incredibly smart, managing to trick Zane, THE SMARTEST NINJA IN THE TEAM AND A LITERAL NINDROID!!! His presence puts fear into every ninja and he loves it!
...but holy shit it gets to a point with this guy where it's just hard to watch, i found myself saying less of "ooh you dastardly villain, you!!!" And more of "CAN SOMEONE GET THOSE CHILDREN A RESTRAINING ORDER!!!"
Like, first off, the fact that the whole almost destroying Ninjago thing is the least criminal thing Nadakhan has done is insane:
He has no regard for personal space, constantly making romantic advances towards Nya (who was a minor during this season), never caring for consent, attempting to use seductive behaviour to get his way (Jay, another minor was a frequent victim of this), his wording ("you can't resist me", "I finally have you all to myself"), the fact that EVERYONE is afraid of being alone with him (I know it's the whole wish thing but at the same time, would you really wanna be alone with this guy?), emotional abuse (again, Jay was a frequent victim of this), making Kai, yet another minor choose between wishing everything away or getting sexually assaulted by a crowd of crazy fangirls Nadakhan CHOSE to interpret as such. Sexual assault (if you thought that the fade out kiss when he captured Nya was gross, imagine if he managed to get his hands on Nya in the end... We all know where that would've gone, kids show or not...)
He's an amazing villain, Top 5! But yeah, if they are planning to bring him back for Dragons Rising... good luck!
Also i hope everyone who got their account hacked gets it back wishing them luck. Also thanks to @tornoleander for making their posts about the hacker they were really helpful.

This rewatch of Skybound has made me pay attention to how Nadakhan not only twists the ninja's wishes, but also their character traits.
Kai's loyalty is targeted- the temptation to help his father, to spend time with Ray after losing him so many years ago, at the risk of being abandoned in the past and lost to time. But his pride is also targeted- summoning an army of psycho fan girls to chase him down.
Zane's intellect gets miss used- a wish that he so carefully constructed ends up being meaningless because Nadakhan really could care less about honoring his intentions (he will carry out his will, regardless of Zane's instructions). But Zane's confidence is also used- ignoring P.I.X.A.L.'s advice and paying the cost when she is forcibly taken from him.
Cole's strength is hit- his first wish gives him more power, but at the risk of almost destroying himself and his teammates. But his recklessness is also hit- he forgets to be careful and wastes his remaining two wishes, which makes the whole team suffer.
Lloyd's innocence is turned against him- wisdom, which should be pure and helpful and not actually hurt anyone ends up making him suffer. But his desperation is also turned- he chooses to protect his friends at the expense of himself and Cole.
Jay's love is twisted- he is convinced to make an initial wish out of a desire to be with Nya. But his deceit is also twisted- he continues to lie and hide the truth. His final wish only works because it is entirely honest and bare, not a facade he's trying to put up.
In a weird way, Nadakhan is almost delivering the "lesson" each of the ninja need to learn. If the show was written for an even younger audience, every single wish would come with a rhyming bottom line to help kids remember to tell the truth or something.
Nya is the only one who escapes this, because two of her three wishes are completely wasted, and the third is absolutely ridiculous. And honestly, I love that for her. A girl who is plagued by perfectionism and a need to do things on her own really sucks at making wishes. Or maybe she purposefully wastes them so Nadakhan has one less thing to hold over her.
Earlier, Nya was very resistant to taking Jay's hand. She didn't want to feel like they were in a relationship after what he said and she wanted to prove that she could stand up for herself.
Even though we don't hear anything, I think Jay was teaching Nya Airjitzu in this scene. In the shot, we see her arm lifted, like she's performing part of the necessary motion. And I find that kind of beautiful, that Jay was able to help her not by scooping her into his arms and turning her into a damsel in distress, but by teaching her so she could go on to do it by herself later.
Watching this scene, I'm so torn between thinking Nya is irrational for taking her anger out on Jay, but also feeling like she is completely justified for being upset?
I don't know how those two reactions can exist in tandem, but they do.
On the one hand, just accept Jay’s help and move on. The best way you can show that you don't care is by not making a big deal of it. Even Cole recognizes that Nya's being a bit extreme here, since Jay does just want to help. (She clearly does care about him?)
On the other hand, Jay did say something pretty weird, and all day Nya has been dealing with annoying guys, so yeah, it was only a matter of time before she snapped.
On the third hand, why don't any of the other guys offer to help Nya up? Kai could've just stepped in instead of being so distracted by his followers, and problem solved!
And on the hook, Nya isn't tall enough to reach Jay from down there. This entire argument was basically pointless.
Also they were hiding up there for no reason!?! They should have just left, why cower in fear at Darith’s single helicopter!??
But I do think it’s hilarious they were out of reach anyway. Like she had to Airjizu up in end anyway.
I will say Nya needed more narrative focas before this on why she is rightfully upset. The boys derail situations because they can’t get over their feelings like 5 times a week when they are the focus and it works because they were shown proper build up to their actions.
But there is a sizable transgression list for Nya to have.
They did an entire add read not noticing she was missing.
They did not fire a manager for clear sexism leaving her to consistently deal with it.

No one is listening to her and she isn’t included.

I think this is because, before becoming a ghost. Cole was depressed as hell but never knew how to talk about it and maybe didn't even want to.
But when you become a ghost, you kind of HAVE to talk about it, so a burden was taken off his shoulders when he opened up and thats why he's smiling here.
