I've had players roll crits after a long fight with a huge enemy and then the enemy will have like 1 health after the damage, so I just tell the player they killed them because if there's another player after them it just sucks to have someone do that one point of damage after you did that huge hit. Also if a player roleplays really well I'll fudge the npc's check like Insight vs Deception to reward the player for good rp

both excellent points and times where fudging is good.
