Presenting an A Strange Kind of Love visual epilogue by @human-rocket 😍

I had such a hard time upon the completion of this fic; I wanted to keep going! But I didn’t have much else to say other than, “And then, they cuddled some more.” I guess I needed to see it. This beautiful illustration truly provides me with a sense of closure 🕊️

There are so many meaningful details from the story here 🥺 The glorious mountain-view window where Ferus gets his own closure. Obi-Wan in his place against the arm of the couch, proudly showing off his water droplet pedant that Ferus had given him for Life Day. And then there’s Anakin. . . Anakin in his cozy ‘Ferus sweater,’ along with Obi-Wan’s comforting robe. His newly synth-flesh-covered legs confidently on display. His healing scars, reconstructed ear, and grown-out hair 🥹 He’s going to be ok ❤️‍🩹

The meaning is twofold when I say: they’re home 🥲

Thank you @human-rocket for being patient with me in working in all these specifics, right down to the impeccable story-telling pose 🙏 This is an absolutely stunning piece that I will always cherish 💗

A Strange Kind of Love is complete ❤️💔

And I honestly don’t know how I feel about it 😭

I never thought anything I worked on after Streets of Gold would reach the same emotional caliber, but now that I’m done, I think it might be possible that Strange surpassed it. Both stories took me 25 months of production time - Streets: June 2021-July 2023, and Strange: August 2023-September 2025. But the idea for Strange came to me back in May of 2022, so maybe I feel more attached to it?

In addition, Streets was a story that prevented many canon hardships. But Strange is about working through the hardships that had already taken place. And I think sort of what I’m feeling now is that I fixed it for the characters, but I still haven’t been able to fix myself - at least not completely; working on this story surely did help me to work through some of my grief ❤️‍🩹

Anyway, I made this little collage with all the lovely art I’ve collected for this story 💕
