"Beach City Baby"

Built in 1943, this C-53 is an actual World War II veteran that participated in major operations across Europe, including dropping paratroopers into Normandy on D-Day. Flying under the civilian registration of N34DF, she is operated by Vintage Wings Inc. based in Franklin, Pennsylvania. She is seen here performing for the crowd at the 2025 Mid-Atlantic Air Museum's World War II Weekend

The wreckage of a 21st Troop Carrier Squadron C-53B that landed at Bathurst Island, Australia, February 1942. The aircraft was strafed and destroyed by Japanese air attack on 19 February.

Skytrooper Family! We posted the fresh out of the box 1957 Red Wing Bell Prop Skytrooper a couple of weeks ago. Due to its popularity we wanted to share the whole collection of Skytroopers we amassed within the last decade of collecting. The brown ones were made for the US paratroopers during WW II. The the black ones were made for companies such as Bell Prop and also made available to the public during the 1950s. www.redwingberlin.com
