Merman Chan and Felix

(Part 1)

It was a warm spring morning; Felix had so many things on his mind that kept him awake all night, school, the never ending conflicts with his parents and the loneliness feeling creeping into him as he haven’t found his one yet. He got up from his bed, got dressed and went to his favorite place to clear up his mind. Felix has found this cave couple of years ago as he loved exploring near the shore, he was swimming as usual and suddenly stumbled upon it, it was magical; well he thought so as it was hidden from everyone, and ever since that cave had become his gateway from reality, a place where he can think and sort out his thoughts. He arrived at the cave, stripped out from his clothes except the shorts and then dived into the water, he swam a little bit, he loved the feeling of the water against his skin, he found peace in it… everything was as usual until he saw something, he wasn’t sure of what it was, it seemed like a person was watching him. “Who’s there?” exclaimed the freckled boy, “I know you’re there, I saw you”... he got up and walked towards the rocks where he suspected seeing something, as soon as he leaned forward he jumped back at the sight of a boy that apparently was in water, his skin was so pale almost translucent, features were strong yet held some softness in them, and blond curly hair that looked like rays of sunshine. Felix was stunned; he froze for a moment until the boy snapped him out of it “I... I’m sorry” the porcelain skin boy said, Felix blinked rapidly and shook his head and replied.

“Oh no… its okay, I just never thought that I would find someone else here”, “I’m Felix, you?”

“Christopher, Chris or Chan, whatever you feel like calling me…” Chris giggled,

“Okay then Chris, this is my cave you know, I discovered it long time ago, so you gotta find your own”

“I don’t plan taking it from you, I have many of my own, so you can have this one”

Felix frowned upon Chris’s words, “You have many of your own? Are you the son of some wealthy man?” said with a mocking tone.

“No, I’m the son of Triton” answered Chan as he lifted his tail from the water…
