Never play the dozens with a pissed off weed rapper who has receipts
Afroman's defamation trial with a jury was live today. And he testified on the stand.
One of the cops cried on the stand.
The Adams County police department conducted a pre dawn raid on his home in August 2022 with a warrant for narcotics and kidnapping, they found absolutely nothing and he was never charged with any crimesm They took $5000 from him, damaged his gate, door and security camera causing $20,000 of damages to them, and terrorized his wife and kids. They were on his home security system and the cops cut the camera feed, and ate his pound cake.
They later admitted they were $400 short when they returned the cash on local news. They also refused to give him the police report which would've been necessary to for the insurance to pay for repairs to the gate.
So Afroman made a bunch of bops using the footage from his security cameras. And in March 2023, the individual cops all sued Afroman for invasion of privacy claiming using their personas from surveillance video was an invasion of privacy, and that the videos defamed and placed them in a false light. The judge dismissed the claim that he improperly used the officer’s likeness for commercial purposes, but let the claim that he defamed and placed the officers in a false light go to trial.
And he released more bops based on the discovery, because in suing they had to identify themselves. The truth is an affirmative defense to defamation by the way. There's a series of videos and he ethers them.
