why am i like the only fan of slasher on this god damn site :pensive:
The Slasher TV series should be more popular.
Hot Take:
Slasher doesn't do gay characters very well? They're either liars, cheaters, not actually gay (correct me if I'm wrong, Antoine and Renee could be bi), or predatory rapist murderers??
I just realized in S1E7 of Slasher, Sarah says that she was a camper at Camp Motega and Cam was a counselor!! Love that!!
First time watching Solstice I didn't really understand what they meant about Miss Greene being 'fake nice', but on rewatch I get it. She starts talking about that 'fight' that Cassidy and Saadia had (Cassidy walked up and started beating on Saadia while Saadia did not so much as fight back because she's nonviolent but sure let's pretend this was a two way thing but I digress) and the other teacher is like 'okay yeah whatever who's sending you sexy dms' and whatever concern she wanted to share about Saadia goes right out the window in favour of taking about the hunk of muscle she's been dming. I get it now.
Also? Really fucking shitty of Slasher's creaters to call it Slasher. Sure go ahead and call your very specific tv series by the name of a well-known and very popular TV genre, I'm sure trying to Google your show won't end with being drowned in a sea of literally every other vastly-more-popular piece of media that falls under the slasher category before finding even a shred of info on the random Canadian TV series that became something of a hidden gem. Like, did you honestly think Slasher was going to be able to stand against Friday the 13th, Halloween, Scream, and Nightmare on Elm Street in the free-for-all that is Google search results? Slasher should be making the ROUNDS on tumblr and I can't even find anything here.
because you watch slasher, favorite season?
for action, kills, costume design, and pure entertainment (+ overall favorite) id say solstice.
for suspense, plot twists, and character development and atmosphere id say either guilty party or the ripper.
the rest are really good but those 3 are probably my favorites. Flesh & blood is.. odd.
Im not sure what wes thinks.
i feel like the only victim of the executioner that didnt deserve to die was justine or whatever the guy who guy poisoneds name was.
