Steampunk and Art Noveau inspired slave bracelet I made for a friend awhile back.
BEST WISHES TO PATRICK THE GREAT TO FEEL BETTER SOON!
Arachne: In tribute to Arachne, a talented mortal weaver who developed such skill in her art that she ventured to surpass even Athena, goddess of wisdom, war, and crafts. This resulted a weaving contest between Arachne and Athena. Arachne was indeed a skilled artisan, something no one could ignore or deny. Athena recognized this, but having dared to question the supremacy of the Gods, an act of defiance that could not go unpunished, Arachne was transformed into a spider. A fitting transformation as the webs woven by Arachne and her descendants have fascinated and inspired many mortal artisans throughout the generations.
