Thought I’d share my on-site commissions from FanX (minus the completed version of the ink WIP at the end of this set and a sketch that was picked up just as I finished it so I couldn’t get a pic). Feel free to tag yourself if one of your commissions is in here!

I still have two commissions that I need to finish and ship out, and I plan to do that ASAP. (Maybe I’ll do an Instagram stream while I work on them...?)

Thank you to everyone who came by the table this year! I don’t know about coming back for SLCC proper, as their table prices are higher and I’ll ideally have a day job by then and that could complicate things when it comes to vending at cons, especially out of state. But I will be at Crystal Mountain Pony Con this July, so that’s at least one more Utah con this year.

I do offer digital commissions between cons!

So I went to FanX this past weekend just to meet this lovely man. I went to his panel and already thought he was so darling, then I went to get an autograph and a photo op with him. He mentioned in his panel that he’d been working on some music lately, which perked my interest. So when I got to the autograph table I asked what kind of music he sings (he said he’s got a kinda Bruno Mars style btw) and when he asked what I studied and I said vocal performance, he got really excited about it. We talked more about how his music is going and how he hopes to release some singles this summer, then we shook hands and he gave me the photo with his autograph.

About three hours later I walked into my photo session with him and he goes “Hey, it’s my singer girl! Wait— don’t tell me… Ke… Keeeeenzie?” So of course I get super excited because he remembers me, I ask if I can give him a hug for the photo and he was like “Of course you can! C'mere.” We took the picture, he told me “We should just sing together sometime, you’re cute.” Then he gave me another hug, said he hoped he’d see me again, and I walked out feeling like I literally just became friends with Jeremy Renner.

Salt Lake Comic Con FanX!

ALRIGHTY GUYS so we are now less than a week away from SLCC FanX, where I will be at a booth selling art! 

My table is Silver 16, and I’m under the name Tayllustration! I will be there with @the-celticswan all three days, so if you’re going to be there,you should let me know and PLEASE come by and say hi!

Since 2014 I’ve collaborated with the BYU Bronies and their convention table in the northern Utah con circuit - namely the two Comic Cons and Crystal Mountain Pony Con. This year, however, I and my friend Kirk Hamilton (author of the MLP fanfiction Inner Glory and the guy behind Faux Paws furry-themed socks) are striking out on our own with our combined brand, UnCONventional Arts! BYU Bronies will still have a lot of my old MLP-inspired art and bookmarks for sale if you’re interested in those (as well as work from other members of the club!) If you’re headed out to FanX anytime next weekend, come by and say “hi!”

In addition to Kirk’s socks and my prints, I’ll also be taking on-site art commissions!
