No one talks about how Copia, silly goober as he is, has an underlying motif of being a bringer of death.

Look at Prequelle. It's about plagues and death, and the chaos it brings. The singer functioning sometimes as a warning of it, perhaps as an observer or participant of it.

Impera is the rise and fall of empires, but even through the "rise" part, there's this vibe of an imminent fate of death or destruction. The singer also functions as both an observer and participant. This also goes well with Copia's fear of death at the same time in the lore.

Both of these are Copia's albums. Then look at the lore. Copia's introduction more or less spells the end for his three older brothers. Its not something he was involved with or likely wanted, but it was done by his mother "for him".

Then both his parents die at his shows, both marking a change in his position.

He rides a fuckig pale white horse.

Copia, whether he likes it or not, is somewhat like a reaper. His presence leads to death. It follows him.

So what if Perpetua is life? Both his songs so far have had a theme of a change or realization, but not necessarily a negative one. Change for the better. Growing beyond, starting life anew.

Oh the angst potential.

Face surgery theory but Dew shows up and Copia has his nose and sideburns back

"Brought you some stuff. Booze, cheese, chocolate.... oh... the uh. Bandages are off."

Copia feigns offense and crosses his arms. "Hmph. You'd better get a new strategy. I'm still mad at you."

Dew is too sidetracked to reply for a moment. Copia huffs and looks away.

"Well, you don't have to be rude. I know it looks like shit."

"No! No. Nothing's wrong with your face. You just... look younger."

"...Is that bad?"

"Hell no. Just been a while is all." Dew sets his goodies down and goes to sit on the hospital bed. "Making me feel like an old man. ...Look at me, let me see."

Copia turns. "It's jarring. I noticed."

"Nah, it's not so bad. I kinda missed your fuzz."

"Did you. Flattery will get you everywhere in my current state..."

"I thought you were mad at me." Dew smirks.

"Oh, shut up, dickhead."

"...Hey. What'd you just do?"

"Huh?"

"Your mouth. Do that again."

"I just smiled. What are you talking about?"

"Nah, it's.... it's different now. A good kind of different. Keep doing that."

"Keep smiling?"

"Please."

Hi guys so. I almost died. My car wrecked and it may be totaled. I'm physically okay but not really okay mentally.

I don't know all the details right now but my family doesn't have the money to get me a new car right now. And the money for repairing the damaged one (if it isn't totaled) is likely going to come out of money I need for college and food. That car was my only transportation.

I'm not sure what I'm gonna do. But I've opened some extra commission slots for everyone if you would like some! They're pretty cheap!

I started reading your fic the other week and it's been driving me insane ever since. I don't know what I wanna ask maybe just the symbolism behind the Papa's horsemen designs [if you wanna talk about that], if not then just know I am EAGERLY awaiting more Perpetua and Cardi interaction in the fic hehehe

And also yes I have a lot on their designs. Including a bunch of useless details about them that I can't actually put in the fic without adding a useless wall of text.

I ended up taking more inspiration from each papa's album for their designs rather than their horseman names. They're more a twisted mockery of the actual horseman anyway.

- Primo’s freaky teeth are based of nosferatu, and the light blue in his pallete is taken from the opus cover. I wanted him to look a little rotting and ancient as well. Primo wanted to be conquest, and his vision of that is taking what he wants when he wants. Except what he wants is not material things, but parts of people. Teeth, bones, all the gross stuff.

- Secondo’s orange color pallette is based on the infes. cover. And his snake is taken from the "serpent deciever" line. His robe being ripped, the plating underneath, and how the snake is stuck to him were a result of me trying to give him a war torn kinda vibe. Sec is also physically the strongest papa now, that's why he nearly snaps Copia like a twig when they first reunite. He can also conjure traditional war weapons (no guns unfortunately( and, while I haven't shown it (YET) , he does have a sort of suggestion ability to incite violence between weaker minded people. It's a great distraction. It doesn't work on his siblings though. Something something the serpent whispering violence into your head.

- Terzo is a ghost wearing his own body as a skin suit. The fact he's in two is mostly based on squammer for obvious reasons. His music videos in general inspired his design, and the fact he has storm powers. His ghost half's stomach being torn is based on the gate in the meliora cover. Also his ghost half doesn't have to be green. It's mostly an art thing that isn't really relevant to the fic. As for his horseman side he kind of breaks the mold the most, but that's mentioned in the fic. Terzo is what he wants to be and what he wants to be is the judge and execution. He holds the scales after all. Also, I tend to include him blindfolding his severed head in art or covering it's eyes, as a neat little "justice is blind" bit.

- Copia is directly based on the impera cover. Just with the red colors of prequelle. Given that prequelles themes already fit so well with Copia being death I didn't have to do a lot of work. Copia being a walking impera cover is very horrifying and gross when you think about it. I'd also compare it to a skeleton display in a museum, each bone held into shape with metal. He's not exactly skinless on that side, but it still pretty much looks like a gross skeleton. For his abilities, we haven't seen them all. Things physically wither around him, and he can bring his plagues with rats and skellies. And maybe he can send things to purgatory... he doesn't know the extent of it yet. But he'll find out the hard way.

Sleepers skeletour notes part 2 :3

My arms are backwards in the first photo. Shame me.

People were so nice! I gave out my stickers to people so if you saw me let me know!

I got Faith! Instead of motherfucker he said buttmuncher

He was far chattier this time in general. Very happy to see. Happier vibes all around

I got a better view of storm and he is so funny I love him. He did these little hops with the music. I adore him

I think Storm did rock paper scissors with Cirrus at one point

Rain and Phantom gay moments

Phantom rolled around on the floor again during year zero

They didn't play per aspera???

There was a slight technical difficulty. A light came on in the arena and it was not supposed to. Thankfully it got turned off before year zero ended. Props to the band for continuing as usual with no issue

Perpetua flubbed a line during one song. Don't remember which one

Towards the end, Haze went up and danced with Cirrus, Rora was dancing with Storm . Dew was leaning against the stairs and not dancing with anyone and it hurt my codrop enjoyer heart

Perpetua was running in circles around the stage and it was very silly

The crowd did not screw up the lines in dathoml but we did screw up Satan prayer again

I saw jesus!! The confetti had to be blown off the stage (my friend managed to run down and get confetti and a mummy buck for me)

Perpetua poked the mic with his tongue at one point

Rain bickered with V because he didn't blow enough kisses at the audience

V cowered during the Latin part and the chorus of satanized. Fuel for the ex catholic v enjoyers

Perpetua did a monologue thanking us towards the end and it was reminiscent of what copia said during rhrn. I did cry

I saw Phantom ghoul pre show. He was wandering through the crowd and no one saw him but my friend and I. We left him alone though. But he did look at us.

A very fun night overall. Better view than before and a much nicer crowd. Despite technical issues the band was still perfect. I cried. I'm happy. Full of joy and whimsy

Tell me some random headcanons you have about any of the papas, I am curious

SLEEPERS RANDOM PAPA HEADCANON FUN HOUR

Primo:

He's still one of the brothers to me. Idc what any 1 offhand comment retcons because it is infinitely more funny to imagine nihil, this stupid but slightly more normal dude, having this ominous, kinda violent little kid that somehow ends up already looking 80 at the ripe age of 12

He does spend a lot of time in the garden, but he grows a lot of poisonous plants. Or like just weird shit in general. Some of the plants he has might not even be real

If there are bugs on his plants he eats them

Copia once convinced him to go to a nosferatu lookalike contest and he was so weird and off-putting and dangerous that he won. Primo didn't even know it was a contest he just won

Secondo:

He makes fun of Terzo for being close to his ghouls so if anyone catches him being decent to a ghoul he gets real pissy

Especially with specific ghouls. If you call Secondo out on being nice to Alpha he will throw up. He will never admit that he appreciates Alphas company

Eerily approachable. Regular people almost seem to like him too much, despite having no reason to. Has that vampire like quality about him where people can just talk to him when they realistically should not.

I think he wants to seem tough. Real bad. He needs to be the beefy tough threatening pope. (And a proper big brother) But he can't help it sometimes. He likes small animals He likes collecting tacky shit. He goes to antique stores.

Terzo:

Is a decent artist. Not as good as he'd like to be but he knows the basics and is trying to get better. Prefers drawing backgrounds to people, though

He has a raven. More like a raven follows him around sometimes but he's taught it small phrases and tricks. His raven is very spoiled

You can never watch a movie with him because he will either complain the whole time and pick it apart if he hates it, or go insane explaining small details if he likes it

His electricity thing may or may not be a little real. Maybe if he's pissed off lights will flicker.

Copia:

Likes to write in his off time. Songs, poem, basic journaling, he's actually pretty verbose when it's in writing. That's why his songs are so peak.

The rat thing off the prequelle cover may or may not exist. It's Copia's best friend and her name is Rosie. Copia doesnt know how she exists. She just does.

When Copia was a kid, rats seemed to follow him around. This led to a panic when Copia was taken to a small town by his family, and a horde of rats ended up invading the area as they followed Copia. Little Cardi was very distressed by the possibility that he may have hurt someone

He can cook! He actually might be the best out of all his brothers. He doesn't do it very often but when he puts the effort in, the food he makes is damn good.

Perpetua:

I don't have a lot on him

I think he's very nice and a little socially oblivious. But he's a good egg. He doesn't hate Copia at all, he'd much prefer to work with him, but Copia interprets his actions as hostility.

I think some of the songs on skeleta were written for Copia. Perpetua really wants him to hear them but Copia won't yet.
