Table for Two [Chase/Julius]
On this, the second day of his soft launch, word or mouth had spread but most of the locals on Arcadia would not return for another week to try the other dishes at Brie and Beaujolais. His prices were steep, he would openly admit that, but the quality and time that went into those dishes were the reason. They wouldn’t anywhere near the same food at any of the local watering holes, that was something Chase would bet on.
With the extra down time, he found himself picking out chandeliers on his tiny netbook, placed behind the bar counter. He had placeholders resting on the ceiling now, but after a few more months of steady profit, he was dead set on getting genuine crystal to match the rest of the clean modern interior of his restaurant.
Hearing the door open he quickly turned his head to give his usual polite nod to the entering customer, when instead he was simply stopped dead in his tracks. While Chase had been in Arcadia a month now, this man was like nothing he had ever seen before. Long legs and fashionable clothing, a full face of skillfully applied makeup, purple... purple hair? Chase found himself simply staring at the man for a long moment.
Chase didn’t have a type, per say. Handsome was definitely his type, however.
His posture became less tense and he rounded the bar slowly with calculated fluid movements. Had he known who this man was, who he truly was, perhaps his borderline flirtatious smile would have been something more kind or professional even-- but how was he to know how strange this encounter was truly about to be?

Float On - Julius and Kai
After the eventful voyage Kai had been on with Julius, he had decided to hold Julius to his promise of another hang out that didn’t involve being chased by monsters. Since Kai had never been to the Lantern Festival, it seemed like a good place to start. Besides, he hadn’t been off of Leuda for quite some time, and what better excuse than a festival?
As he and Julius arrived at the festival, Kai found himself glancing around curiously at all of the people that were already starting to gather - some even appeared to be getting on boats. This seemed interesting already, and he hadn’t even cracked open his cooler yet.
Because yes, Kai just wouldn’t be Kai if he hadn’t brought a cooler with booze in it to a family friendly event.
In his other arm he had a lantern tucked away - nothing fancy, just something he had thrown together. Hopefully it would do the trick.
“Did you want to see if we can snag a row boat? Or should we stick to the shores?” Julius had been to this before, he assumed, so Kai let Julius take the lead once again. Besides, he just wanted to kick back and float his boat and drink some beer. Seemed like a good way to spend the summer.
Julius will be picking up a third job at Fenrir Battle Arena!
