Katarina and the Girls as Amateur Sleuths

I love the mystery elements in this chapter of @dulcito-on-ao3‘s story Mary, Mary, Quite Contrary and it gave me the idea of a story or series about Katarina, Mary, Sophia, and Maria solving mysteries.

I don’t mean it like it’s an AU in a modern world where the girls are all members of a detective agency; it’s still the setting of Hamefura but with the girls somehow getting involved in solving mysteries. Something like a mix between series like Case Closed, Scooby-Doo, and all those cartoons about kids/teenagers solving mysteries. And to fill the spot of animal companion present in many if these cartoons is none other than Pochi!

The girls are the main characters on this; the boys and characters like Anne or Larna can help but the focus will be on the girls  and Pochi.

Unlike with the Scooby-Doo cartoons, not all the mysteries will be about someone disguising themselves as a monster/ghost to cover criminal activity but stuff like stolen items or disappearances. If you want it to be a bit dark, you can throw in some murders as well.
