Felt kinda lazy last night, but I was super munchin’. Had to make my own grindz, ‘cause was already late. . So, I’ve been really sick for the last two weeks. It was good in a way, because I dropped about 15lbs in the first three or four days. I could barely eat anything solid. . I was placed on antivirals (Tamiflu) in the first week, but I might have been seen too late. I took it, and it really did a job on my stomach. Did that stop me from eating cheesecake? Of course not! Did I stop eating ice cream? Hell no! And it only made things worse (but it was so worth it!) . Unfortunately, I started having these really bad earaches and neck pain. I noticed my jaw was swollen on one side and there was a localized inflammation of my lymph nodes. The worst part was I could taste and smell infection. I went to see a specialist who found - yep - a suture and tissue had been left in the surgical area of my mouth. It was a deep suture, so it could’ve happened to anyone. I kinda got lucky. If it went on any longer - that kind of infection can travel. The weird part was the fluid made me think about cheese. . So, I made myself a quick Philly cheese sammich. I didn’t have any sub rolls, so I used brioche. . I took choice ribeye and sliced it thin. Seasoned it with salt & pepper. . Cut up some mushrooms and onions. Seasoned them with salt and pepper and tossed everything on a cast iron stovetop. Thinly sliced ribeye takes no time at all. . I cut a chunk of butter and placed toast on top to soak up all the meat & veggie flavor. Added my cheese and... . 🤙🏽Cheeeeeewhooooo! Buggah took less than 15 minutes. Faka was so ono! Was good with pickles. I was so full, I slept for about 3 hours! You don’t understand - when you have insomnia, three hours is heaven. .
