HAPPY BIRTHDAY SLIDER!! You get to go to Earth for 24 hours. No one thinks you're out of place and you can go home safe and sound guaranteed. What do you do in The Real World?

Slider blinked before getting an excited grin on his face. "Oh man! Best birthday gift ever!" He holds out his hand, counting on his fingers as he lists his priorities. "First, I'd wanna go see Matt, Jackie, and Inez's places and let them be my Earlie tour guides! Next, I'd wanna try some Earthlie food.... but not anything *too* weird." He hums in thought for a moment before holding up three fingers. "Definitely try some skating competitions on Earth! Would love to see how I measure up against other Earthlies besides the Cybersquad!" He chuckled, giving a small shrug with a chuckle.

so I have a couple questions! If you don’t mind 😅 What are your favorite things about Slider? How about Coop? who are Slider’s favorite/safe people? What people does he feel unsafe around? (Same for coop haha) Do either of our lovely traumatized boys have any triggers?

I love how much Slider loves his friends. He's willing to put aside his own happiness for them. And I don't think it's just because it's the greater good. When he first met the Cybersquad, he refused to help them at first until his own personal reasons came to light, AKA Hacker being behind it. Later, he ends up searching for the encryptor chip at the risk of prolonging his search for Coop. He's honestly got a big heart.

Coop does not have a lot of content :') But I love how he's both a skater and scientist. He's no dummy and combines being a cool jock, with being tech savvy. It's honestly a cool combo and most likely why Hacker first agreed to partner with him, cool and smart with great hair? What's not to love?

Slider definitely feels safest when he's with his family, Coop, Betty, and Savannah, or the Cybersquad. Coop definitely feels safest when he's home with Slider, Betty, and Savannah. Getting squished on the couch for movie night is a very nice feeling after being alone for so many years, for the both of them.

Both of them tense up at the mention of Hacker, let alone feel unsafe around him. There's too much bad blood, and they're not about it. The same goes for any people connected to Hacker. He's a big no thanks for them.

I wouldn't say they have triggers, as much as they just have trauma. Slider suffers from pretty vivid nightmares, and the only way he's able to fall back asleep is by walking through his home with the metal baseball bat he keeps at his bedside and checking that all the doors and windows are locked and that Coop is safe in bed. Coop suffers from a lot of health issues due to the Magnitite, but besides that, he finds he gets fidgety and nervous if he hasn't seen Slider in a while. He also keeps way too many useless things because on Discardi, you never knew when something would come in handy. They both take care of each other, though, and get through the day.

What makes Slider proud?

There's a few things! When he was younger getting praised by his father's made him beam with pride, nothing could make him prouder than feeling like he did something right in his parent's eyes.

Now it's expanded. He's proud when he finishes a trick or course successfully. He also feels proud when he gets one of his friends to laugh or smile, or when something he's building or fixing ends up working.

So short answer is Slider's proud of his work and having the ability to make others happy.

Ok 9 to 5 au..

Is Slider basically a hostage?? Could he run away? how many years realistically will it take to pay off the debt? Like it’s Hacker, it’s gotta be a lot, no??

If you feel like writing a bit… first meeting with the squad? Do the girls see him as the attractive bad boy at first now, instead of regular attractive guy?

Digit is more suspicious of him? Maybe Matt?

is he wracking up a criminal record? Does he get to coop eventually in this au? Hacker builds the transformation faster in this au? ik that was a lot haha srry

Nah! *technically* he could leave at any time. He just would have no where to live and working for Hacker pays the debt off faster.

Oh gosh... for time it would take to pay off... Honestly, if Hacker doesn't end up just trying to scam him to be a worker for life, probably well into his adulthood as he has to pay back back what Coop owes, and then also hopes to fully buy back the garage from Hacker, so basically double what he owed in Snelfu Snafu.

The Squad + digit is definitely more suspicious of him at first, I mean, he *does* work for Hacker! He would try and play it off with shrugs, half smiles, and a sarcastic comment, but after more than a few helpful "accidents" and general hostility, they'd definitely poke at his story and try to figure out his deal, not understanding why he wouldn't just *leave*.

Jackie definitely thinks he's this cute older guy when they first meet him, inez following suit with higher suspicion, but they'd see him as the attractive, misunderstood bad guy. Matt would take a little longer to warm up to Slider but eventually and maybe a bit begrudgingly, would have a soft spot for the older borg.

Slider does get in trouble and builds a reputation as one of Hacker's henchmen, but never intentionally or cruelly. The first time, Hacker told him he'd chop fifty snelfus off his debt if he guarded a machine, and Slider gave him a salute and was on top of things. He guarded it as he watched the earth kids blow it up. Then it was gone, so he left.

I think eventually everything would work out for him in the end, and he and Coop would find each other. That's another reason why he's working, because if Coop suddenly appeared, they'd have no home, no work, nothing. Which, of course, doesn't help Slider already feeling like a disappointment.

As for the Transformatron I don't think he would because Slider wouldn't find the NIC so it'd still be hidden away with the map in the garage! But there's always a chance of Hacker finding it faster because he'd have free reign of the garage. Slider would've probably kept the picture close to him, however, because of sentimental value, and Hacker would see no reason to take it as it'd be worthless to him.

How does Slider dress on a typical day?

Like a basic bitc-

Slider has a favorite outfit for sure. And he likes to stick to it. His sweatshirt is one his father gave him. Because Coop is not a rich man, he would always buy Slider shirts in several sizes too big so that he could grow into them. This caused his young self to often be seen wearing giant T-shirts past his knees, and his 13 year old self to wear the same sweatshirt for several years, despite growing.

what does slider think of harmony like if she was real in you're canon some how??

As much as her existence makes zero sense in the show hdjdjd she's real to me because I love the entire show, all fourteen seasons! In my canon, Harmony is from a close family friend of Hacker's and simply calls Hacker uncle as a familiar. She was raised around evil and isn't that put off by it despite not being evil herself. Hacker also puts up with it because she adores him, and it boosts his ego.

Slider feels bad for Harmony. Plain and simple. He remembers what it's like to be that age and think the adults in your life can do no wrong. He also, in a weird way, is jealous. Hacker *likes* her. He'll find himself wondering what he did wrong to make Hacker like Harmony but not him. He'd never voice these concerns, however, and usually would just roll his eyes and say he's sorry for when Hacker isn't amused by Harmony anymore and will kick her to the curb.

Does Slider typically dream in color, or in black and white?

Slider dreams in color! He has very vivid dreams that pull from a lot of his memories, both good and bad. He also suffers from night terrors and usually wakes up in the middle of the night to check the house locks and alarms, as well as make sure Coop is still there and it wasn't a dream. It doesn't help that he will often force himself to go long hours without sleep as a way to avoid nightmares if he has a really bad one the night before. It's often in theme with Hacker, magnitite, kidnapping, losing coop again, or being alone and helpless.
