“handle the ick” [Matt]
Slider had this horrible habit that when he was deeply focused on a task, he could be handed quite literally anything and he'd just sit there working one handed and hold it. It was Jackie that discovered this and the Cybersquad thought it was hilarious. They'd tried everything from lamps, to digit, to their own hands, to a hot bowl of soup. Slider calmly held it all without notice or care.
This time however, he'd been deeply concentrating on a mini techoboard which was extremely touchy and required his full attention. He didn't mind however that his friends were messing around and chattering away in the garage at the same time, he simply ended up zoning them out usually by accident.
Matt threw the basketball he'd been holding to Jackie who threw it back as the Cybersquad simply relaxed for the day at Radopolis. He hadn't meant to, but Matt threw the basketball up trying to show the girls a new trick he learned only for it to smack something on a shelf making it fall, and instinctively, Matt reached out and caught it. Looking down, he pulled a disgusted face the second it had touched his hand. It was a rather cold, slimy, and extremely old sandwich. It most likely got placed on the top shelf to be out of the way but then ended up being forgotten... For who knows how long. The girls had crept closer to look at what it was only to recoil with disgust. Slider glanced around desperately but seeing no Garbage can turned towards Slider. "Uh- Sly? Where should I put this? I want it out of my hands like yesterday." He cringed, looking a tad grossed out.
Unfortunately for Slider, the only words that processed was his name, and putting something somewhere as a question. Thus, without looking up he held out his hand for whatever the thing was.
Matt blinked and looked at the girls who were shaking their heads and giving him a warning look as a slow, mischievous smile crept across his face. Letting the thing ooze from his hand onto Slider's they all waited, eyes on the Borg to see if he'd still not notice. Slider noticed.
Sparks shot from the technoboard as Slider had flinched as the texture of the sandwich hit his hand making him press down on the board harder than he had meant to. His head whipped over to his hand in horror as he looked between Matt and the decaying sandwich with growing disbelief and horror. His face twisted slightly is disgust as the food seemed to slightly melt into his hand. The garage was deathly quiet as Slider stood up, walked to the back door of the garage, open it revealing a backyard leading to the mountains and woods, and watching in awe as Slider launched that food hazard as hard as he could over his fence and into the woods. Whirling around he promptly walked over to the sink and started washing his hands before heading back to his seat and sitting down. He pointed a finger at Matt with a small chuckle of disbelief. "What was the grossest thing I've ever felt in my life, never do that again dude." Before picking up his tools and restarting on the board.
The girls shot Matt glares as he washed his hands. "Matt that was SO gross!" Jackie scolded looking a little sick.
Raising his hands Matt shot Slider a grin and shrugged. "Okay but in my defense, I asked where to put it and you put out your hand! What was I supposed to do?" He grinned, making the Radster snort and roll his eyes good humoredly.
Shooting Matt a mischievous grin, Slider tilted his head. "Yeah Matt, that thing felt so old it could've been Hacker's sandwich." Matt pulled back in horror and went to wash his hands again with a groan, prompting the others to laugh.
