oh but how selfish of me to feel sad. how selfish of me to forget all of the good i have experienced. the nights looking up at the stars. waking up to the new barbie i wanted for christmas. starting new schools. the friends i admired and had to let go. my favorite shows and characters. the music i cannot seem to live without. how selfish of me to instead think of my sorrows when beauty has given me every reason to survive.

Every day of your life, you’ve blamed yourself for his death. It’s a chilly evening with a full moon out, just like the night of the accident. Curled up in your bed, in your own self hatred on such a painfully reminiscent night, a visitor from beyond comes one last time to put all of your worries and guilt to rest.

I really enjoy writing these little bursts, little sparks of what could be. Enjoy!
Word: Truck
*
Everyone in the small town of Stillwater, where its name originated from the remarkably calm surface of the lake, knew that the low rumble that resonated at the edge of town, where only one person lived with the silent embrace of the nearby forests, was not due to impending thunder but to a single man with his single, horrible truck.
The people also knew that he came into town on Fridays, as the day and night were reserved for an equally single man, Magnus, who kept himself within the realms of the town and its strong internet.
There was no hiding that Alec was drawn to the exuberant man, as he had been setting aside time for Magnus for months, and years, at a time – not even the passage of time was going to change that.
Stillwater had been silent in the years of their education, relishing in the peaceful wake of their absence, but that serenity only held for five years before the rolling sound of an old engine and worn brakes came growling over the hill.
The Bane house rested at the opposite end of the town, the mirror image of Alec’s living arrangements. A small road parted from the main stretch that split the center of town in two, leading anyone with a drop of curiosity towards the one place where the entire lake could be seen, as well as the one place where two lovers could meet, lying beneath the stars and imagining what might become of them.
Alec waited for the sun to settle behind the horizon, draping the evening sky with a dark sweep of navy, before driving to the viewing point, to their special spot, hidden beyond anyone’s vision. He parked the car, then himself, pulling out an old worn blanket that was kept in the back seat for moments like this, and gazed up at the night sky.
He didn’t need the crunching ground or sudden shift of silence from the crickets and creatures to know that he was being approached by the only person who could possibly find him. “It’s a beautiful night.”
“It always is.”
Time was kind to Magnus Bane. He was just as beautiful as the first time that Alec ever laid his eyes on him – tall and lean, broad yet narrow, perfectly fitting to every notch and curve of Alec’s body as though he was the missing piece to his puzzle. Alec shifted in the bed of his truck to allow space for the man.
“Join me?” Alec always left his requests as a question, as an open door to willingly close and walk away from to be entirely sure; he needed that with Magnus, the reassurance.
The truck shifted beneath the added weight, quivering under Magnus’ touch in a similar manner that its owner did. The warmth of his body, easily accessible with a pull of his arm, and the wave of fresh essence that was wholly Magnus called to Alec in ways that reminded him of his childhood, of a boy who knew nothing else but him.
“Will you stay with me?” Tonight. Tomorrow. Alec lost all sense of time when he was with Magnus, just as he was lost to his touch, his gaze, his promise of something more. His warmth seeped into every pore of Alec’s skin, mingling and filling parts of him that he thought were closed off entirely, as Magnus’ hand clasped his and his head bent into the crook of his neck.
“Always,” he murmured, assuring him with a tight squeeze, a reminder of what had been said years ago, whispered in the same trailer bed underneath the same sky. “I will always stay with you, Alexander.”
Am I the only one who needs physical scars to remember there human?
Like it doesn't matter if its scars from self harm, surgeries, accidents, acne, I just need to see the physical proof to remember that I'm human enough to have living cells fighting to keep this body alive, working days to repair the skin layer by layer. Working to keep dirt and infection from seeping into my bloodstream throughout my body rendering it useless.
I don't feel human in terms of neurology and psychology. I
feel like a robot stuck in a prison made of artificial flesh, but artificial flesh dosnt string itself back together. Artificial flesh trapping a robot dosnt lead to organs under lays of skin and muscles.
I don't feel human and I need scars to remind me.
so apparently some people follow enough tags to just look at their following of tags? that’s just a thing they do? I scroll the endless landscape of tumblr what are yall doing? The things I write to stop anxiety attacks are slightly poetic
Somedays, I wake up and the world is terrifying.
Today, the world is beautiful.
I live for days like this.
The in between is hard,
but I hang on,
just to wake up to a beautiful world
once again.
