i believe this is a greek slow worm, from Turkiye!

we dont see a lot of non-arthropod weird critters here so they were a delight to see in person! stood so still for the picture

So photogenic! I love this one specially because he's so flat looking- like he got a little squarshed

here have a photo of a slow worm(Anguis fragilis) taken a couple of years ago in my garden (mid wales), they tend to show up in the compost heaps during summer months, rare to find one so out in the open
