When handling members of the family Anguinae, it's important to be extremely careful! These reptiles are known as glass lizards, due to the fact that their tails will 'shatter' into many pieces when they feel threatened.

-I patched my kayak for the FOURTH time and I think it actually fucking worked! THANK GOD
Might be kayaking in the inlet with my dad tomorrow. I want shrimp to climb on my feet again SO BAD and am now 80% less annoyed that the BugFest theme for this year is KRILL (not shrimp but still shrimplike) but that is another post (which I will probably make shortly)
Might be rained out, though. We've been having a lot of intense storms lately with TONS of lightning
-There was a GLASS LIZARD hanging out behind one of my car tires yesterday!! I suggested we put it in the yard but that was quickly vetoed and so I scooped it up and moved it to a safer spot. Really cool. I don't think I'd ever seen one in real life before
-I redyed my hair and am putting off washing it. I go out and talk to people (basically just librarians...) and then I look in the mirror half an hour later and there are blue smudges all over my face
