wow! i can’t believe it! i made it to mid-sem break :D
I DID IT!!
before the break i had a case law test which was worth 30%. i was really worried about it bc i felt like because i had been depressed this term i didn’t study enough but i think i did well enough on the test. i also had some chinese tests but they weren’t worth too much and i don’t find chinese too difficult so that was alright too.
in two weeks i have a statute law test, also worth a similar amount to the case law test. better study up for that!

it’s me! i return again,
see? i made no promises about posting reguarly.
i’ve really been struggling this first half of the semester (which wraps up this week). in fact, this year as a whole has really been challenging for me. for one, moving away from home for the first time. i then lost my grandmother to cancer in april, which was really difficult for me and also caused a lot of family tension. now, we’ve had another loss on the otherside of the family.
in some ways i know deep down that i moved away because i couldn’t handle everything. the pressure. the death. my family’s suffocation. i know that’s selfish, but it is also self preservation. i miss my parents (and my cat) dearly.
i think a lot of studyblr fails to acknowledge that sometimes, life sucks. it really does. and the last thing you want to do is have a 12 hour study day and wake up early in the morning. sometimes going to 3 out of the 5 uni days is a victory that i’m satisfied with. i know i’m trying my best, and i know what i’m capable of but right now i’m not in the right space to be pressuring myself academically.
right now, watching some re-runs of the simpsons and having a hot chocolate is just enough.
