Slum Of Legs - Sasha Fierce

H: Tying in loosely with posting some Beyonce, this is Slum of Legs performing ‘Sasha Fierce’ right here in London town. Slum of Legs are so very impressive, when I saw them performing in a little wooden church at Indietracks festival a few years back they made my little heart swell with feminine pride. I just sat there in a back pew with a massive silly grin on my face while the lead singer climbed over pews (a little bit further forward, much to my relief) and screamed in people’s faces. My favourite one of theirs is actually ‘Benetint and Malevolence’ (but that wouldn’t have had the Beyonce link though, right?) but you should also check that out; it contains one of my favourite ever lyrics - ahem: “when you’re sad you’re invisible, a flicker at the edge of a disco”. Excuse me while I go and weep into some gladioli...
