I hope I don't sound too harsh but I felt like ash was kind of a sore loser during the alola league when he thought he lost to hau cause you see him doing the depressed hat thing he does when he loses. when hau lost to ash you see him congratulating ash and he doesn't show a depressed side in front of him and he keeps his cool until after he leaves the stadium even though he was declared the winner by the referee. I love ash and im glad he won but I felt like that was kind of bad on his part.

I respect your opinion, but I... myself I don’t see it that way, at all. First and far-most, I think you’re kinda reading ahead of what might have happened had he actually lost and not been interrupted by Hala’s re-evaluation. Keyword on might. As we don’t actually see that here.

Satoshi always does the ‘hides under his hat‘ when he loses. It’s his thing. Kalos is the only league where he doesn’t do that, and that’s because he’s proud of his accomplishment. Here?

He is clearly disappointed in himself at this moment. He feels like he’s failed himself and his Pokémon. And it’s human to react this way, esp.with his talent and how much confidence and trust he had in his Mokuroh.  Also, important fact with Hau is that we don’t actually see how he reacts to the loss at the exact moment of the announcement. The first face we see of him, after winner’s been declared and he knows he’s lost, is this:

Considering how he reacted back in SM097 when he lost to Satoshi during their rematch, I’m certain Hau did the exact same thing Satoshi did, feel disappoint, but also does what Satoshi would have done to him has he actually lost: congratulate him on his win and not show the disappointment he’s clearly feeling! The two are quite similar after all in their enthusiastic personality traits, it’s why they clicked so well! However, this is something we can only speculate on, as is how Satoshi would have congratulated Hau, had Hala not stepped in, so I wouldn’t go and say Satoshi is a sore loser. No. With the facts in our hands, It’s impossible to declare that. It’s up to one’s imagination on how things moved on when the screen wasn’t showing it, and I myself see things going the way it usually does during Satoshi’s losses: show disappointment, but then congratulate the winner with a happy smile!

There. Is this a satisfying answer? I just wanna remind I’m not forcing you to change your mind if this is truly how you feel. I’ll respect it. I just happen to have a completely different view on the way it was handled, and this is my explanation on it. Thanks for the ask, it was kinda fun to re-explore this scene, with it being on recent memory after all :D

Ohmygod I love Hau’s Fukuthrow so much!

Mokuroh is having a bed hair day, and Fukuthrow is trying its hardest to get the bedhair out of him. But it just moves locations, and poor Fuku gets exhausted lol.

He’s so fed up ajkfgsjfhsfjhf like I give up. Then just a bit later!

Mokuroh’s bed hair gets way way worse!

Fukuthrow is shown turned around and is slowly walking away from Mokuroh ajfgfsjhgfjshgfsjhgfs ITS SO UPSET OF THE BED HAIR!

I love Fukuthrow so much this is the kind of personality I was expecting from Fukuthrow I was not disappointed <3333

I don't like how SM097 wrote Satoshi's loss against Hau.

But I love Mokuroh and Hau and his Fukuthrow over the moon so I'm not letting it make me not like the ep.

And I love how Kukui and Burnet both give advice to Satoshi when thinking about ways of getting stronger...

And the way the very early episodes of this series comes to play here, god I love this so much.
